The question you pose is viable. I would not be OK if a majority of any part of the United States become 'overrun' by illegals from any other country. The following summarizes my sentiments toward immigrantion, and I believe that of many other Americans.
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.
Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.
This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!
"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.
If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

I do not believe it is possible. Seeings how to become into the kind of power it would require you are required to be a United States Citizen (aside from positions such as Governor). From what I am told there are several parts of our country where you cannot even get a job unless you are Bilingual. Parts of Southern California and Florida. I am not entirely sure of the facts in that aspect though. But I do not see that happening across and entire country. We would have to change the very aspect of everything we do. If they come to this country they should respect what has been here for generations, and what the flag means. And how many citizens have died defending that flag so we have the rights we do today, and the rights that they now enjoy. If they come to this country they should be expected to render the same honors as any American should.

Goodday ,
If the question is, am I concerned that illegal mexicans would become the majority of the population, here is my answer. The issue in america now is the presence of illegal immigrants especially from Mexico. I am not concerned because their is already a strong movement to stem the tide of illegal immigrants which is producing state legislation. The federal government backs illegal immigration so the national boundaries will be open but state governments will produce legislation which will block them. So I am not concerned that illegal mexicans will become a majority but I am concerned that the bills that will be accepted to stop or control their flow will negate or complicate civil rights.

No, I'm not worried. Have you actually looked at the numbers? THere are a number of states where immagrants (both Legal and Illegal) make up an ever growing number, but we are so far from having Latinos (let alone only Mexicans) become a majority that we don't have to worry about it.

As an American I am proud and as a Texan I am proud. The thought of this happening is sicken to me. If I wanted to be a Mexican, I would move. No one should have the right to come in here take control of our country and citizenship. I am one that is extremely upset with the lack of border control, and the freedom the illegal immigrants are enjoying in this country today…. You know “remember the Alamo!”

The problem is not with Illegal Aliens,, The problem is with the mexicans hopping over the border to have their kid making them american citizens, The state of california has to pay for hundreds of mexicans who are allowed to cross the border on a daily basis to come to our schools,,, a few laws need to be changed

Living in England, i don't know what the state of your immigration system is in. But i do know that my own country is being flooded with immigrants and they are better off than us. At least in the U.S you dont have to bend over backwards to accommodate them, you are still allowed to voice concern without being branded racist! Id still rather fly the Mexican flag than an islamic one!!

They are outpopulating us that's for sure. The pope won't let them practice birth control so its just one after another after another that our welfare system has to support.
They already pulled down the US Flag in Maywood, CA and ran up the mexican flag.

the question is a lil stu... but I'll answer you as a favor with no charges. when Mexicans come to the US and have families their children become Americans and they grow up as Americans and they speak English and a little of Spanish. So when I see these kids I see a normal American. Their parents will get old and one day that Mexican will die. bingo. You'll have more Americans and less Mexicans in the future.
