See Naples and die remember that at school but I would count Italy north or south Sorrento Isle of Capri all very beautiful the whole country is just lovely been there many times and was there when Mussolini met his fate but since then Italy has moved on

For me it's Ireland. There is a magic about the land and the people. I had a very good friend in grade school who was Irish and she seemed to emit love and fun and she was the cutest red head with freckles and (if you can believe it) her hair was in locks! I can still picture her. She and her family moved to the US when she was 4 and she would tell me things she remembered, so it became a dream of mine to visit Ireland someday for an extended vacation where I can really get to meet the normal averyday people and observe their lives and culture. Who knows? Maybe I'll find a pot of gold and then I can move there.

Visit your own country from east to west and north to south.
Then, if you still have time, visit Italy. The big 3, Florence, Rome and Venice, are the big 3 for a reason.

Whether its history you are looking for,fantastic shopping or the sea and surf,you will find it all there.Cairo,Aswan and Luxor are must sees if you love exploration and ancient history.Sharm,Dahab and Hurghada fror all kinds of water sports.The people are the friendilest ever and i have visited 52 contries! they make you feel like you own the place.See the pyramids and Sphinx,do a midnight ride into the desert,take a Sinai safari or visit the Monestry at St Catherine,its all so wonderful.

I know you said 1 country but I have to suggest 2 from my own preferance they would have to be the lovely Eire or taking the long haul flight round the world to Australia. They both seem such lovely places.

marzipanchan - hong kong is not a country. It's part of China in the same way that the Isle of Wight is part of England.
