I am a natural red head, although I do have blonde highlights in it. I have natural wavy type spiral curls down to my waist and it is all one length. I have had the same hair forever and am not sure on what I should do for a change. Any ideas would be appreciated.

First of all, don't let anyone persuade you into boring shoulder length hair. Yes, shoulder length can look nice, but long hair is so beautiful - celebs and models - and indeed some normal people - wouldn't spend thousands on extensions otherwise!! (plus all guys love long hair on women!)

I would say maybe darken it (think lindsay lohan in mean girls!!) and use a shampoo and conditioner specially formulated for curly hair, then finish with mousse and blowdry using a diffuser attatchment on your hairdrier. You might want to try straightening it sometimes too. Just make sure the curls are neat and defined, and not a frizzy mess - red is a wild enough colour anyway!

You might want to book up a consultation at a hairstylists. They are free, and you're not obliged to get a cut or anything there. Explain what sort of hairstyle you are thinking of, how much time you are willing to spend on it in the morning, what your financial budget is etc. S/he might have some fresh ideas that you hadn't previously considered. If you don't like what they've said, then try somewhere else.

You might want to try getting a hair magazine and looking at the colours and cuts in there. Take time to look at what works, and why you like it - and what looks awful, and why you hate it!! Celebs such as Lindsay Lohan, and models such as Lily Cole have red hair and wear it with pride - so they make good hair role models for you.

Remember though - your hairstyle should reflect your personality. If you're fun and fiery, don't let a pic of a glossy model persuade you into getting a short mousy bob.

take care, hope this helps x

Having a blond highlight on a redhead is beautiful. Have your hair relaxed or just iron it, and leave two inches in curls. Also, straighten your bangs or cut them short just in line with your eyebrows and put some layers in the front side. It's the more exotic hairstyle.

Try cutting about 7 inches off, then get layers. You may also want to get a good straightener and use it once in a while for a little change.

Well, if you have a really good hair-person (can't think of the name right now, sorry) then you can just walk in and say "I want to change my hair." Then they can work out with you what you want your hair to look like. I've done that before, and it worked out really nicely.

That sounds bad...

Get a layerd bob and go blond or go red! BOTH red and blonde hair sounds BAD.

Layerd bob! No long shaggy mess

Have you ever had braids? Sounds like very beautiful hair that would look just wonderful in braids with hi-lights woven in.

sounds like fun. try going shorter!! and ask your hairstylist if layers would work for you. instead of blonde hi-lights, go for darker, lowlights to give your hair a sexier look. whatever you do, don't get a bob!! ;)
