I am asking this question again because I only got 2 answers before. One said 'never heard of that' which was not much help and the other said see a doctor. I'm 23... seeing the doctor and going to the hospital was what I did for the first years of my life! This problem makes it really hard to buy shoes, and as I am missing my big toe on the small foot I can't wear open toe or strappy shoes.Especially not flip flops! No good in summer!
I am a Uk size 3 on my left foot and 6 on my right foot. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem as me? I have to buy two pairs of shoes all the time which is obivously twice the price, but apart from that I have the problem that the 3 is quite often childrens styles and the 6 is adult styles. Also heels on shoes are very often different heights too. Please let me know if you have any ideas that could help! (I have tried having shoes made but they are very limited styles) I am 23 and this has been a huge problem for me!

This is an unusual problem and you are an intelligent woman. You've probably tried all the alternatives that exist. It's been my experience that money talks. I think if you want gorgeous shoes that meet your needs, you'll have to spend the extra money. The very wealthy have their clothes individually created and designed and/or tailored. Why not shoes? If it means that much to you, research shoe designers and pay them for what you want. I by no means am wealthy but when I want a luxury I know how to sacrifice other areas of my life. Your situation sounds a little different. Yours sounds like a need. I am sure there are loved ones in your life who will help you acquire what you need. It would seem you would forego gifts and just ask for money during the holidays/birthdays so that you can buy shoes.
Meanwhile, buying two pairs is costly. Perhaps a letter to a manufacturer explaining the situation will get you a pair of shoes for one price. I know you are a young woman but aren't there similar styles between adult/children? Like penny loafers and topsiders....those aren't the most sexy shoes but will carry you through until you can afford to have the designer shoes made. I am surprised an orthopedist or podiatrist can't help you....then there's always the sales (buy one get one free!). If it's that important to you and you can work towards this goal, save your money and hire a shoe designer. Good luck.....you don't sound like you have a problem with self-acceptance and that's good. Now go get what you want!!!!

some places will let you buy just the one shoe, i know this ounds ridiculas, but it is true. I would ask in your local shoe shops but they may be a little funny about it, but this is no problem, as there are internet sites where buying 1 shoe in one size and the other in another size is possible. I don't know if the heels will be made the same size though, sorry.

http://www.toe2toe.com/2_size_feet.htm << this website is great, u put in the measurements of each foot seperately

i hope this helps you, but i think if buying shoes is this big a problem then u should probably see i doctor, there maybe some options to have your feet evened out and allowing you to buy shoes just as easily as everyone else.
good luck getting some nice summery shoes (personally i reccomend some bacless "slipper" style shoes)

Wow that's tough. Maybe you can talk to a shoe company that you like and explain your problem. Maybe they will allow you to order directly from them to get the two different sizes. I was never one really for all kinds of shoes, maybe as boring as it sounds, just get some basic white tennis shoes that you know will be in children's and adults. I know that sucks- but you can compensate not having cool shoes by having cool shirts or pants. I have always hated shoe shopping as none of the "stylish" shoes fit me, either.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. My best advice is to deal with boring shoes. =(

I'm sure there was a company set up for people with odd feet.Try typing in the words odd shoes or whatever. As for your big toe...my cousin had her's amputated and found it really affected her balance. She did'nt like wearing sandals,so asked her doc about having a false toe made.It did'nt cost her and her balance and confidence improved.Hope you get some good answers this time around.Good luck

I kinda have this project using fact maximum manufactures tend to make the suited one greater beneficial so each and every each and every now and then they don't combat precise. I placed on a 14 on the left and 13 a million/2 on the suited. it is right for me. each and every each and every now and then if i like the shoes and that they at the instant are not setting up precise i'm going to pull the switcheroo on the keep. If the clerk tests them whilst ringing up my purchase i attempt to act all shocked. Then I could desire to take them back some days later. it is real hardship.

You can check with a Podiatrist about shoe modifications. OR check out this site, you can custom order shoes to fit perfectly, so you don't have to buy 2 pair of shoes.
