Try baby carrots and small red potatoes tossed in parsley and butter. I have had this and it is so good.

The best vegetables to go with a roast lamb is flageolets.
This is what we have in France (where I come from).
You can just get them in a can and warm them up in a pan with a bit a butter and garlic.
It is easy and delicious.

Rosted parsnips and carrots. Sliced and roasted, they taste amazing. Need nothing like honey or sugar as they are naturally sweet vegetables.
But... If you'd like to inhance the flavour, some fresh thyme and a knob of butter during the last 10 minutes in the oven will also add flavour.

OR
you could go mediterranean and roast a variety of vegetables, thats my favourite version of roast lamb! Chop up carrots, onions, parsnips,. peppers, parsnips, celery...basically any veg you have to use up. Cut them into bite size pieces, spread them out on a baking tray along with a few whole cloves of garlic. Drizzle generously with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper! YUMMY!

Honey roast parsnips, in my opinion goes well with anything. And yea as doom one else said go to a butcher and ask for a good leg of lamb and any good cooking tips. If you have to buy from a supper market go for one with just a small layer of fat on the outside it will help keep the meat juicy, all so go with one with as late an expiration date as possible do it's as fresh as possible

Roasted Cauliflower With Cheese Sauce
Roasting the cauliflower first with olive oil, salt and pepper, then topping it with a wonderful gruyere cheese sauce gives this side dish wonderful flavor. Delicious!
.
1 small cauliflower, cut into florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and black pepper
Sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 cup shredded gruyere cheese
Preheat oven to 400°.
In a large bowl, toss together cauliflower florets, olive oil and salt and pepper.
Transfer to large rimmed baking sheet.
Roast, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes or until tender.
Near the end of roasting time, in medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour until blended and slightly browned.
Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
Add salt and pepper and simmer for 3 minutes, whisking occasionally.
Remove pan from heat and whisk in cheese until melted and well blended.
Place cauliflower on serving platter and spoon sauce on top.
Sprinkle with parsley for garnish.

Ooh, yummy! Roast lamb is my favourite. Try roast potatoes, carrots (roast them if you prefer) broccoli, cauliflower (with white/cheese sauce) and swede (mashed with butter and pepper).

I sincerely wish I hadn't read the answers to this question as now my tum is rumbling.
Roasted 'rooster' potatoes parboiled with fresh mint before roasting, mashed turnip (swede) with butter and salt and pepper, broccolli and cauliflower with cheese sauce, carrots, minty peas and minty gravy ..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
followed by fresh raspberries with vanilla yoghurt...
