Had he been in Heaven, he certainly would have had a story to tell. Jesus called death a sleep. Why?

The answer is found in Ecclesiastes chapter 9.

ECC.9

[5] For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Further explanation can be found in John 11.

[11] Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
[12] Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
[13] Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
[14] Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

Jesus clearly equated death with sleep. And according to the verse in Ecclesiastes that begins to make sense. There are texts that tell stories of people being in hell but those are notations of dreams not reality.
Most people find some sort of comfort in thinking that their loved ones are in heaven looking down on us, but that can't be true according to Ecclesiastes. I, for one would not want to be in a paradise and have to see my children and friends struggling to get by in this mess of a world. Better to sleep through that long night and see only the coming of Jesus when I awaken.

Lazarus rested interior the grave. If Lazarus grew to become into in a glorified place in heaven with God(Psalms 80 3:18) might it have been loving for Jesus to strip him faraway from heaven and place him back in the worldwide lower back? infrequently. In regard to the burning hell coaching; the unique Hebrew & Greek observe for hell pronounced interior the bible meant, mans grave, not a place of torment. to boot the Hellfire coaching would not degree as much as what the bible describes God as be a loving father or a God of affection as point out at a million John 4:8. it would be unloving and vicious for a literal parent to punish his toddler for undesirable habit via putting him on hearth or retaining is resign a flame. the comparable is real of God (Psalms 80 3:18). So definite God created mans grave (Hell) notwithstanding if that grave is interior the floor, ocean the place ashes are thrown etc. in spite of the shown fact that God did not create a place of torture for people.
