Panasonic, as I understand, does not manufacture extra lenses for the DMC FZ5 model. However, extra lenses are available from other manufacturers (eg close-up and macro lenses made by Foxfoto) which can be attached to this camera. I'd like to know of telelenses and wide angle lenses for this model and who manufactures them and better still, where they are available from (any internet dealers/high street shops).

Theoretically, just about any add on lens will work with the right adaptor, but of couse some will work better than others. Your best bet is to go to the DP Review Panasonic page and ask this question. Here is the address http://www.dpreview.com/
The users there will be able to tell you which ones they've tried and which ones they are happy with

Back in the 'old days', video cameras had a primary one inch female screw mount. Those days are over. However, it would still be interesting to look into ring adapters that convert Panasonic to other manufactures, like Nikon. I don't know what that will do to advanced features such as focus and zoom. These manufacturers are getting very proprietary so as to control their after market accessories. I am finding that 'nothing works with anything else'. Recording video DVDs is an example: Burn on an RCA recorder and it doesn't play anywhere else except for its own RCA box.
