Like how do we know Coca-cola and Pepsi are American brands?

Someone said something about a barcode before but I cant remember, anyone here know how I can identify where the products I buy come from (the countries), because not all of the products have 'Made in ...' and just because they are made in that country doesnt mean thats where the brand is from

Zach thats what Imtrying to say, the product could have been made somewhere else, and the brand could be somewhere else. And Im not trying to say Americans dont make their own stuff, Im just wondering out of the possibility.

Depending on what country you live in it may tell you.

If you really want to find out I suggest ringing the company. Also just because something is American brand does not mean it was made in America or it can't be brought out by an oversea brand retain the original name.

Some things like a car , it was made here, but the parts for it came from different countries.. They buy parts that were made cheaper from the other country's, . Most parts have a Patient so they can make the parts in volume and sell them to auto makers that put cars together. . It can be Made In the US but does not mean the whole car came from here. Like a blouse or shirt , it can be made in US but the silk might had come from another country to be made. Made in, means it was put together where the label says. Most idems have a Patient. Pem

I know with certain lagers the company will allow it's recipe to be used in a different country under license. Tetleys brew carlsberg larger which originally came from Copenhagen. I imagine it is still made in Copenhagen for the European market and made in England for the UK market.

Coke do a similar thing it is cheaper and more cost effective to make a product near where it is going to be sold.

Some companies often open plants in different countries to make their product, other companies license it out as they find they still get to make a % on the sale and not have to pay out for the running costs of the place making their product.

I think it is hard if you want to avoid products from a different country that is sold in yours. I know people who will not eat products from certain countries and they find it hard to find out.

They come from shops. Some countries have lots of shops. So if you go to france say and buy some French Bread it's fair to say it came from France. You can use this example for all countries. Hope this helps.
