Does prayer work? Hundreds of millions prayed for God to stop Hitler, but God did nothing and 30 million+ died. Either God is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

Yes I've looked at it. It's pretty basic freethought stuff. It would be good for a person who was where I was when I was 13 or so. Just realizing that all this religious stuff was crazy be needing somebody to walk me thru the steps of thinking my self free. Like, why does god never cure and amputee? What about the problem of evil? Can God make a rock that's so heavy that he himself can't lift it? What the hell am I doing wasting my time with these crazy people anyway when there is a whole world to experience?
I am sorry people don't look to links. I post them because I want people to know i didn't just make up stuff I put up but that reputable sources agree with me. Or if somebody else said something I agree with in a much better way than I could I post a link and just say-what she said.

That site has a lot of good stuff on it, including the "prayer is superstition" video clip. The clip itself is a bit too earnest and pedantic for my taste, but the argument is valid.

I never click on any links. If someone is incapable of forming their own opinions and need to be told what to think by others they are not ready for a thoughtful answer.

Excellent site, it's in my bookmarks. Even when I was a believer I never understood the concept of prayer. I always thought it was stupid.

Now why would I do that I believe in God.
If they choose not to God gave them a free will to use I can not say anything aginst them.
They are the one who must answer to God.
And I would never fuss at you for asking this question.
You only learn by asking question so keep on asking.
