Yes I believe in reincarnation and know a couple of my past lives. I'm not sure what I'd want to be next time. It depends on the state of the world then.

Yes I believe in reincarnation and I would not want to be anything in the animal kingdom or the realm of hungry ghosts but I would like to be a demi-god or a human. I already am, so one day I will say 'thus' and maybe I will acheive enlightenment and not have to be born again at all, that is what I would really like but I feel inclined to help people too much.

I don't believe in reincarnation
and am an atheist,
but if I did I'd like to achieve nirvana or be a Buddha, or otherwise escape the cycle of rebirth.
Reincarnation is based on the idea odf an immaterial soul which is false. People saw lost ones in visions and dreams and concluded, falsely, that there was a spirit realm. Now we know that the mind is identical with the brain and does not survive death.

No I don't believe in it for three reasons :

1- It's based on the false idea that we are a soul and we have a body. I believe that we are both a soul and a body. My soul in another body wouldn't be me.

2- Reincarnation is supposed to explain and justify the existence of suffering in the world. According to that belief we suffer to expiate the sins we commited in our former lives. I believe that to suffer for something that we have no memory of doesn't make sense, and doesn't constitute a true expiation.

3- If suffering is the consequence of our past misdeeds, why would we try to alleviate other people's sufferings. They deserved it, didn't they ? So the doctrine of reincarnation destroys empathy for other people.

All the babies leave the wombs of their mothers to enter this larger world.
All men leave this earth for the spititual world without limit of time and space.
God ordains that we use our free will to secure spiritual qualities for our use in the next life, like the chidren prepere their physical senses for this life.
Hell is the failure in making this praparation.

I'm a Reincarnationist. What I want to be is who I am and have always been - myself - just a wiser version with each lifetime.

"So as through a glass and darkly, the age long strife I see,
Where I fought in many guises, many names, but always me." - General George S. Patton
