...but i have 3 questions that are related to each other. :-)
Can someone list all of the Windows Operating Systems there have ever been in order?
Has each newer version of Windows always been better than the one it replaced? (I heard that Millenium was worse than Win98 because it was a rush release and it had too many bugs in it)
and is XP the best Windows there has ever been?

update #1
MS DOS (versions from 1.0 to 6.6)
Windows 1.0 (DOS addin - ran from a floppy disk - did not use mouse)
Windows 2.0 (another DOS addons)
Windows 3.0 (first version to look like what we would think of us Windows - first loads DOS, then Windows)
Windows 3.1 (What most people think of as the first version of Windows - used mouse)
Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (included networking ability)
Windows NT (looks like windows 95, build with extra security for government use- mostly used in business, not homes - when from version 1.0 to 4.0, with 3.5 being the most used)
Windows 95 (designed for home computers - still loads over DOS - 16 bit code)
Windows 98 (looks like 95, but big differences underneath - does NOT load over DOS - has 32 bit code) Includes Plug and Play
Windows NT 3.5 and 4.0 (looks and works more like 98 - all 32 bit code - no DOS mode - design for business and government use)
Windows 98 SE (updated 98 with all the service packs, security updates, and a handful of new apps. Adds native USB support)
Windows ME and Windows 2000 - released at same time
Windows ME is next "home" version - follows 98SE. Had major problems and was only sold by MS for about 6 months. Would consider this one "worst" then the earlier versions. Included Movie Maker
Windows 2000 - officially listed as Windows NT 5.0. Designed for business use. First NT to include plug and play. Includes additional networking abilities including domains.
Windows XP - MS decided to combine the 9x and the NT lines, and no longer make a separate business and home version of Windows. Instead have a Home and Pro version of XP that are indentical except for some networking capabilities in Pro (can join a domain).
Windows Media Player - XP with additional multimedia capabilites added.
Windows Server 2000 and Server 2003 - versions of Windows designed to run on large servers. Give additional networking capabilities.
And...coming soon to a PC near you - Windows Vista

Windows began with Windows, then Windows 2 and Windows 3. All of these had sub versions as bugs were repaired and new features added. The next versions were Windows 95, 98, 98SE and finally ME. Microsoft then ended the 9x architecture of Windows as it was the cause of more support issues than they could cope with.
The business class operating system wa called Windows NT and ran parallel with Windows 9x.
Windows NT4 was around the same time as Windows 95.
Windows 2000 (NT5) was released around the same time as Windows ME and people started to use it rather than the buggy 98/98SE/ME.
As Windows 9x varieties were dropped Windows XP (NT5.1) which is Windows 2000 with a nice user interface and some extra functions became the standard. The business class became Windows Server (currently Server 2003) and is just the same as XP with the bells and whistles turned off.
Don't think I've missed any!

I dont see any good feature in windows millinium, but can be seen allmost feature with new feature in windows xp comparative to windows 2000
