No...At least not the research the media crams down our throats. Adult stem cells..absolutely..embryonic..absolutely not.
I am not about to kill a human being just so I can live longer. That is really selfish. So are abortions. I just plain call it murder. Don't try to tell me that embryos are not human and don't have a soul because if they are not human then neither are you.
Embryonic research has never worked. They take the findings from adult cells and switch them with embryonic stem cells and deliberately lie to you because the potential of a multibillion dollar industry. How much money are you worth? I don't know about you, but I can’t put a price tag on myself

Yes.
Let's start with the first problem- conception of the baby. Most of the time, the girl doesn't know what she's getting herself into-nor, for that matter, does the guy (but he usually doesn't take the blame, sometimes disappears). So, it's an unwanted baby. Can you imagine the stress? You're a teenager, still fussing over eyeshadow and make-up, your falling grades and your friend's gossip...and then suddenly-THIS. A baby- sure, you've cooed over babies in the subway, you've "aaaawwed" at those adorable little shoes in Baby Gap, but you have always thought that, well, if you're ever having children, you want someone reliable.
But there it is- you're pregnant with a child, and just a child yourself. This baby will ruin all your chances of an education, of a successful career. It will turn your life upside-down.
What to do,? you ask yourself.
The question here isn't one of humaneness. Abortion IS humane in some cases, and in others its not. While the baby is still in the womb, it doesn't have a soul- it doesn't think. Therefore, it is still but an empty shell, a body not yet filled by a divine light. While still in that state, it's not as if you're killing a soul (aka the thing that makes this baby not only be alive, but l-i-v-e), but only the body.
And think- if you dedicated your teenage lfie to raising this child you would raise it horribly- you'd have no experience in parenting,
you'd have to get a job to supprort you, you'd have no time for the baby. And putting it up for adoption..well, who knows what happens to children in foster homes?
If you're having a baby, bring it into a world where you're prepared to love it and care for it, not into a world where it will be abandoned (and if not abandoned, then living in a bad neighborhood, going to a bad school..).
Basically, it's asking yourself - me, or the child? Will I give my whole life up to this baby- this body which is but an empty shell yet? I think not. For this baby doesn't even have a soul yet- and you are already practically an adult, ready to step into the world and make a difference. That same baby will be born to you later, in wodnerful conditions. Just imagine all the things you're depriving yourself, and the baby from- by giving birth to it.
So you have an abortion.
And once the abortion is over- why not donate your unborn baby to a worthy cause? Science is what made your abortion possible- don't you want to science back? By giving the fetus to scientific labs, you're giving them a chance to save lives by researching the many properties of stem cell research.
So yes, I support embryonic stem cell research!

Because there is a choice, either you can use the embryos for something useful and lifesaving or you can support distroying them by throwing them in trash cans.
If you support embryonic stem cell research you support using embryos that are already created for something useful.
if you DON'T support embryonic stem cell research then you support the distruction of embryos by throwing them away.

Stem cell research is necessary in finding a cure for AMD--Age Related Macular Degeneration. I'm in a profession where I am all too familiar with this sight robbing disease. It's not easy to tell someone that they are going blind and it's even harder for the person losing their sight. I am 100% in support.

Absolutely yes. Obstetricians estimate that up to 50% of all conceptuses are lost via spontaneous abortion (known as miscarriage). That number is huge. What is a few experiments on zygotes for the good of mankind?
Those who are offended because it interferes with their interpretation of what their own god would want should not participate. Those of us who do not indulge in magical thinking should be left alone and not have your religion crammed down our throats.
