I went to the hair salon to cut and magic straight my hair and I really love the outcome of my new hair. It's so beautiful and straight not all puffed up like usual. I know magic straights last like 6 months to 1 year but the salon told me the style of my new haircut is only pretty if my hair is straight. They said I have massive curls but it looks more like a wave to me. Anyways my question is is there a way to keep the salon style hair at home like ironing or showering or anything??? Please help me!! I really hate poofy hair.

Yes I have the iron thing that straightens hair but it doesn't work, maybe because I don't use it correctly so please teach me.

If you're willing to splurge, get a Chi, they usually run about $100-$130 at your local beauty supply store. They work really well because they are really hot. BUT be sure you put a cream in your hair to protect it from the heat. I use the cream and also a serum from Paul Mitchell which helps keep it flat and smooth. Hope this helps!

get a flat iron...like measjulie said a chi flat iron. Chi's are very nice and i have one it works great on my extremely thick wavy curly hair. Another good brand is Hot tools. So check those out. Flat iron is the way to go to have straight hair. Also buy smoothing cream and some kind of spray heat protector product.

Go to a store, ( most likely Claire's or icing ) and get a wet/dry straightener. i had poofy hair and once i got one of those my hair hasn't been poofy since!
1) buy one
2)Take a shower ( let hair dry for about 2 or three minutes so it's not completley dry )
3)plug in and use!
Good Luck!!

Yes, if you find a good flat iron/straightner (what you pay for is what you get so I suggest a more expensive one for better results) and also a smoothing creme to put in your hair before straightening.

Go to Walmart and buy a hair straightener. It's like a double sided iron that you put your hair in and it "irons" out your hair and flattens it.

i have really poofy hair too. just buy a hair straightener (it is better if it is not really really cheap. but you probably don't want to spend too much money on it). then just turn it on as high as you need it for your hair (if it has settings) and go slowly down your scalp.

wear a shower cap when your not washing your hair. wear a head scarf to sleep in - keep your hair nice.....when you do wash your hair get the right shampoo/conditioner. when washing split into sections and codition each section very well. use good straightners to again straighten in small sections.....if in doubt wear a hat!!!
