same like...
why christians eat pork when Jesus did not?
why christians do not circumcise themselve while Jesus was circumcised?
why they call him Son of God while Jesus rejected it?
why they do not belive in Mohammed while Jesus was talking about him?

Because Jesus and his followers were kicked out from the synagogues. Should it not have been the case, the synagogues would have become churches.

because non jews weren't allowed in synagogues (i don't konw if this is still true or not.) and the followers of jesus was a mix of jews and non jews. some times jews who followed jesus were thrown out of synagogues because the other jews belived they had turned against the God of the jews. so the folowers of jesus met together at first in peoples houses and later in buildings they called churches probably becaus a group of followers of jesus were called a church (eg "the church in Ephesus". revelation ch2 v1 refers to all the christians in Ephesus.) sorry if that is a bit confusing.

That "Jews for Jesus" crowd often uses synagogues, along with other trappings of Judaism, to make converts to Christianity feel less guilty about their conversion. If Christians would like to attend these faux synagogues instead of churches, I'm sure the born agains there wouldn't mind.

I don't know how my answer will be taken, but it is sincere.
When you ask questions like this, you should research it, and you will find your answers in depth.
There are so many people on this site that ask, and answer questions, sometimes very nagatively, with no information at all.
I suggest before a person ask, or answer a question about the bible they study it, even a little bit.
The question in its tottality is in the four gospels, it does not take a long time to read them either.
Matthew
Mark
Luke
John
Oh by the way, when Christians do not have an answer, your answer will always be in the Holy Bible, unless you are sadly, spiritually blind.
Only Jesus will be able to heal your spiritual blindness.
how sad.

Good question here.
But, if people believe that Jesus is G-d, or the son of G-d, they are no longer Jews, but Christians. So, a synagogue is definitely not for them.

LOL - it's the same argument Christians give when they say that Jesus nullified the Old Testament, yet they follow the 10 commandments but totally disregard the dietary laws (e.g. no pork) so it's pick and choose what's convenient for them.
Seriously the Christians had to meet underground, and the whole church concept started from Constantine in 330AD in the council of Nice. Long story, but kinda interesting.

call it church or synagogue both are gatherings of people studing and speaking about godbut evidently as with maney people you might enter a gathering and find that they are somewhat off the trueth or you dis agree with something said and or done among those people i my self dont go to church but i know and study the word but i also look around me learning about life from all that i see in life and ive been in churches too not that its bad or any thing but some prefure smaller crouds to deal one on one in a more emotional way that touches the heart and thoughts and its one thing to sit on a seat and listen from a distance and its another feelin to sit next to a small few and talk and shake hands or pat anothers back and hug em like you mean it and you know them and do care but another to shake hi bye take it easy see you next time for another recital of a storey ive made last night or or weeks ago ,no thats not quite me i rather just say what ever comes to mind at the moment so i dont know where our conversation will go but i wont smack you on the head and say be healed or that im magicaly endowed as an apostle with some secret power to push you down and make it all go away just because i put my hand on your head no i would just give you the best hug i can from my heart and if i have what is needed or can do whats needed i would do it or if i dont then i would ask for any one who knows or can provide what is needed and that if they dont that they would work to find some one who does have whats needed and if its too personal for a large croud i will deal with it in a personal and private way and thats how many cases are very personal but the gathering is a necessity for the groups to deal wit natural group needs and public needs and the leader does form storey to protect the personal to express a need wit out exposing the person to embarassments that many do not understand how to handle as (some) in the croud are not truely followers as they are also students of behavior and those would wanna do wrong if they knew some of the personal issues and to find a confidantea is tough for many because some leaders are also students who need to learn what should be kept personal and how to guide those persons with their personal issues and how to ask others for whats needed wit out uncovering the persons privaceylike several meeting later you speak of an issue of someone but which one is it ?who knows could be some one i spoke to a couple days ago it doesnt matter what does matter is wheather some one knows the best solution for the case and the guide who knows the personal has to judge which answer is bestand work to help as best as he or she can to help the personal issue and some who jesus spoke to personalymight have betrayed him going back to others to tell them what he said and then again jesus might have known who he wanted to betray him to spread a certain word or cause a certain action and then whose who becomes the question for strangers wanting to capture one and that perhaps the brave sacrafice would end or stall the sheding of blood that so many stumble on to save the many so it happened and the secrets buried and the many grow sheding their blood as they have swetted in the feilds to provide all the productions that yeilds the answers and things that people need and the many having the answers can provide the guidence to walk better to avoid doing the wrongs of the past

The bible says to fail not to assemble yourselves together. This is a time set aside especially for praise & worship. Fellowship with other christians gives you spiritual support and an opportunity to pray one for another by the laying on of hands. I could go on, but I think you get my meaning. It is simple obedience to the word of God. Have a nice day.

The synagogue is now inside us.
The Temple is Heaven.
We gather for fellowship and to equip each other for every good work. Also to edify each other.
