Avon makes a great Foot Works Anti-Fungal foot spray that not only cures athlete's foot, but prevents it, too. It's a good idea to carry it in your gym duffel to use wherever you shower.

if you want simpler ways to prevent athelete's foot here are some suggestions.
- wash your sock thoroughly
- "sunbathe" your shoes, it will kill some of the fungus and lessen that bad shoe smell
- wash your feet with soap and water
- dry them thouroughly, fungi love moisture
- if you have to wear socks put some baby/talcum powder (cornstarch is better) on them to absorb any possible sweat your feet make
- check also your carpet/floor. athlete's foot can also be acquired through them
- check yor groin area if you also have fungi in them.. majority of athete's foot spread to the groin and vice versa when you remove your underwear
