If I had a 13 year old daughter, I would let her wear heels...only to special occasions, though. Maybe to a school dance, or out to dinner with the family, and so on. But what you could do is go shopping together and compromise on a certain pair of heels. Nothing too high in the heel and nothing too racy, and most importantly, find a pair that's comfortable for her to walk in.My mother did with me when I was around that age. Just make sure that she doesn't do anything foolish with them, like running with them on. Good Luck!

There is nothing wrong with a 13 year old wearing a small classy heels. At 13 she is coming of age. She needs to be taught how to be a young lady such as to walk in heals, type of shoes (heels)to wear for the type of dress. It is my belief these things should be taught at home. Show her the basics because as she grows much will be learned from other classmates who may not have the same family structure as you. Let her grow up but have fun with it. My daughter who is now 20 and in college, still likes to shop with me. We select fashionable but classy clothes and shoes.

How many feet you got?How can you wear 7 small heels? My 13 yr old niece and her friends tried wearing 2 inch heels and decided spained ankles were no fun and decided to go for comfort instead. Wedge heels are ok.They balance things out.Unfortunately,it's the other type of heels she has to look out for

I don't think so either.
It is hard on the knees, the back, and the feet.

I had a friend who wore heels all the time, she even had slippers with heels. After a while she couldn't put her heel down on the floor because her Achilles tendon shortened. It is terrible for her now.

I would think not.1st because, she could rench an ancle, and thats an unwanted trip to the Emergency Room.I could see it if she was going to wear these heels to a wedding or a funeral,or church, but,to school or anywhere,no way!Theres girls at my school, who wear high heels, and they go down stairs, and then they fall down the stairs, with a renched ancle. So thats probally one reason you need to sit and talk to her about.

Why even make it about what's "cool" or not? The fact of the matter is that you are the parent, and what you say goes. When she gets a job and is an adult, she can buy and wear whatever shoes she wants.

I agree with you that it is NOT okay.... I mean, with so many sickos out here, people are just ASKING of pedophiles to look at their little girls when they dress them like adults.

She want's to be taller. Very soon she will be. Heels can be dangerous. They are not very good for circulation either. Start with that. Point out the negative aspects.

You are friendly, kind and caring
Sensitive, loyal and understanding
Humorous, fun, secure and true
Always there... yes that's you.

Special, accepting, exciting and wise
Truthful and helpful, with honest blue eyes
Confiding, forgiving, cheerful and bright
Yes that's you... not one bit of spite.

You're one of a kind, different from others
Generous, charming, but not one that smothers
Optimistic, thoughtful, happy and game
But not just another... in the long chain.

Appreciative, warm and precious like gold
Our friendship won't tarnish or ever grow old
You'll always be there, I know that is true
I'll always be here... always for you.
