Headaches can be a cause of being in higher elavations, your body needs to adjust to the change. It has to do with the blood flow and circulation in your body.
I live at an elavation of 5,280 ft. a mile high Denver,Co and there are mountain peaks around here such as Pike's Peak which is 14,100 ft high which can cause shortness of breath, light headiness, and headaches which is all normal.
If you recently have flown in an airplane ,give it a few days and if your symptoms persist see a doctor, but I think it just has to do with either you flying,or visiting somewhere (you didn't say where you went or how you went),with a difference in elevation.
The climate in the Southwest United States is ideal for asthma sufferers ,and Denver is not a bad place either for people who suffer from allergies. You might have allergies ,September used to be the worst time of the year for me with allergies. I was allergic to ragweed pollen which was prevalent at this time of year,If you live on the east coast that could be a reason also.
If you are sneezing and have a stuffy head,I would go get an allergy test to see what you are allergic to.
I use Exedrin Migraine medicine which helps me more than any other medication I have ever taken for headaches.
It does have caffeine in the medicine also, but that is the active ingredient to help me through my rough times when I feel like I am getting a migraine or headache.
There are certain foods which also cause headaches..namely dairy products ,or a high concentrate of dairty products can cause headahes.
I found this great link for you to read about headaches ..I am going to read it myself also this morning .
Good luck and if your headaches are severe, tone down the lights, and put a cold compress on your neck or forehead ..that helps me when they are severe.
Migraines sufferers know all about light sensitivity and noise which compounds the headaches and they know how good it feels to have a cold compress on the spot that aches.
please read this link it is a good one..
p.s. after reading the headache article I think I found the reason for your headaches,,i think you are suffering from Migraines..read the 2nd link..it has all your symptoms.and talks about sleep changes, and motion sickness also from traveling.
My second link didn't work click on this one below or the other one works fine. The link below here is about migraines.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. Your body doesn't like change much and trips really do cause it to be a little confused at the same time changing you diet also is a big change.

What was said above is also good idea, sleep better at night not day, getting up early is a good thing as most people feel better when getting up just after the sun. A good 8 hours not to much more or less. Also stopping all caffeine is great but also might cause you to feel overly tired or have headaches because your body is missing something it used to always have.

Vitamins might also be good if your diet has removed something it requires for normal operations.

Give the headaches another week then see a doctor, having your eyes checked is one thing he will likely suggest to you.

Irregular sleep patterns and dietary changes can cause headaches as well as stress, jet lag, pms and many other things. Get on a regular sleeping and eating pattern and keep a headache diary of how many headaches, type and intensity that you have for about 2 weeks and if they aren't gone by then -- unless you have other symptoms that need checking-- I would go to the doctor and discuss this with him or her. If you have a high fever, nasal discharge, a cough, stiff neck or other not fun things to go with your headache then don't wait to go to the doctor. Go asap.

I find that if I try to get out of my regular sleep pattern I end up with what they call a sleep head ache. I have set my sleep time from 11 pm at night and try to get up every morning between 6:30 am to 7:30 am . This has helped with my head aches and it seems that I do not feel like I want to go back to sleep. This may be different for other people but also check with a Doctor you could be going Thur jet lag or a time change. Good Luck!!!!

Try sleeping early from now on. Maybe your body just needs a rest. My hobby is sleeping and only get headaches when its really hot or I have a fever. Try to ask your doctor whats wrong. A doctors advice can really help.

i think your own analysis of your situation shows you have an understanding of what your body needs to operate properly. try getting some good regular rest - eat well. if you feel you need to change your diet for medical or personal reasons please seek advice before doing so. i would advise after your trip now would be a good time to see your gp for a check up where you will be able to discuss all your fears, change diet, sleep, headaches. good luck.
