I went to buy a new car yesterday. I have it all picked out, but the color I wanted is being shipped to the store and may not be available until Thursday. None of the paperwork will be done until then. They already have my old car, and I am driving a loner until the new one is in. My birthday is also Thursday, and my tag tax is due. Will there be any problems or late fees since this is all pushed to the day my tax is due?

The dealership is suppose to do yourtags. We had a 30 day tag on my new car when it came in and the dealership filed all the paperwork and our tag was mailed to us. You get a different tag for a different car. Talk to the dealership. They may be able to explain it more for you.

Once you sign the title is signed over to the car dealership, it is their car. However, the personal property tax you still have to pay, up to the point when you still owned the car.
