yes. there is such a thing as cake construction. pile up sheet cakes and carve out a diaper form, securing each part with a toothpick to hold each in place. put icing or jam in between to keep the cakes moist. put in an airtight container and refrigerate overnight to make crumbs adhere to cake. brush away loose crumbs the following day. ice the diaper cake thinly with royal icing. let dry. then proceed to ice the whole cake with boiled icing according to your design. if you're using no melt icing or buttercream just proceed to ice the cake without the royal icing.

I've never tried to make one before but I'll bet you one thing, it takes a lot of diapers, diapers and more diapers.
