if she is copying your style, it means she looks up to you. let her copy your style and take it as a compliment. since she does look up to you, maybe you can stop her crying to get her way by telling her you think it's not cool. don't use her as an example though, say it's your friends younger brother who uses this ploy to get his way, and how you think it makes him look phoney.

Speaking as "the younger sis", I thought my older sister was THE GREATEST! That's why I wanted to be like her!!

No way did I ever tell her that! haha She was annoyed just like you. It would have meant the world to me if she would have helped me and realized I wanted to be like her.

Copying someone is the ultimate compliment. It would change her life if you could find it in your heart to help her find her own styles. Go shopping and help her find her own style.

Someday you are going to be best friends. Realize she is a fan of yours and be flattered. I'm sure you are terrific!

i have 9 sisters (im #3) so i have 7 lil sisters. they all want to copy the ways of us older ones. so, i thought of a way to steer them away from our style. if you wear a ponytail for example, and she asks you to do her hair give her pig tails, and make sure the others compliment her on how they lovve her pigtails. or help her pick out clothes that aren't like yours, and again, compliment her style and tell her how much u love it. and for the crying part, good luck my sisters dont generally cry (ages 15-2)

Just go about your business.
If your sis is crying for attention she probably needs it. Lets your parents give it to her.

Feel flattered that your lil sister wants to be like you. Teach her good things.

I would suggest that you ignore the fact that she's crying and that she's copying your style.
The fact that you know she's trying to get your parent's attention doesn't mean you have to follow her in doing so.
Be yourself and if you find it flattering that she's copying you then you'll be happier.

If she is crying to you then you have to be supportive and help your parents understand that she is upset and why she is turning to you for help. Some parents don't realise they are treating their children differently. Most of all don't judge her for trying to be like you she thinks that is what your parents want.
