How do you know it's love and not Lust?
How is it possible to tell the difference between the two emotions?

well if u tell me love is a very strong word because it is very compassionate as well because when u think about it when ure in love it is what u feel inside and within that person because I'm still a teenager except going to college and it is now that I realized what love is here at my highschool prom I dated a guy for the first time and yet he wanted to be my soulmate, a crush on me and here I am rejecting him because simply not because of a different race but it is because I'm in love with a teacher and he was not the guy I was interested in though his stories made me fell for him but he was just not the person and so still I'm not able to tear this apart because no matter what I've always wanting to talk to him again and see how he's doing though he was favorite teacher ever.
Lust is a different meaning to this because this will prove that u've actually lost the person u're in love or simply it didn't turn out to be what it seems to be because the partner is not interested in u or yo put it easier for u it didn't turn out to be love.
I had to understand that maybe when u love someone it is hard to let go because the truth is that that teacher may not feel what I feel for him so all I have to do is to let go of it because I missed him for some reason and maybe one day I'll have the guts to tell him how I feel but this may turn out to be lust because I'm the only one in love and he is not! atleast not with me. I cry so it is hard for me to not look at his picture I try not to because it is hard to let go. These two emotions are hard to differentiate because if it is not love then obviously it is just not love or betrayal or hatred.

I have been with my wife now for sixteen years , and married for almost ten . I can tell you i am in love still !! probably more so than when we were courting .
Love and lust are two emotions that in my opinion are worlds apart . When I feel lust I obviously do something with my wife , love is the emotion that never leaves my mind ( unless in an argument hehehehe ) , being in love is not something easily explained .... except to say that when you ARE in love you definitely know that you are and dont need to ask someone !! ...thats not a dig at you my friend , just something for you to note !!

I dont believe in love but maybe that is because i have never been in love but lust is when you fancy someone purely for looks although i think lust is a perfectly good reason to try and start a relationship

I'm completey and madly in love. You know it's love when all you wan to do is make the person happy, when they hurt you are, and when all you want is each other. Lust is just a sexual energy, where no love is involved. If you've not been in love before you can sometimes mistake lust for love, but when your in love it hits you hard, and you've no control over it.

Listen i am besotted with my partner everything about him is special, but i know it's real love, love is deeper than lust, lust is a strong desire for sexual gratification that can be a momentary rush of sexual desire, and passion, but when that desire is fulfiled the rush is gone...love has more substance, you feel an attachment, and adoration, a tenderness, you almost worship this one person, and all these feelings are second to none.

when your in love with someone its something which is uncontrolled and you feel it in your heart, you cant stop thinking about the person because of who they are inside not because of what they might look like on the outside or what you may want to do with them ;) when you are around the person you may feel one way the lust but the time you will really be able to find out if it is lust or love is when you are not around them, not being able to see them!

Lust is entirely sexual as far as I know while love you actually feeling for the person for who they are. Difficult to explain. I suppose ask yourself what do you want from a relationship with the person, just sex or a deep meaningful relationship, spending time together, sharing experiences, problems and happiness.

Time. Lust must be there at the begining and love takes time. A good sustainable relationship is based on love and lust. Both are interlinked. So enjoy the sex, enjoy your time together and see where it goes!

Lust is where you're just attracted to the person physically and you just want to f*ck them but love is finding everything that person does is amazing and thinking they are perfect in every way. I knew when i was inlove when i couldn't remember the english language when i spoke to him, and i walked into doors and things when i was looking at him, basically making a complete wally out of myself! You will know when your inlove trust me!

you know your in love when:
nothing the guy does grosses you out ie: hes has a big juicy fart and you laugh and try to beat him
you can spend all day every day with him and still not get sick of him
you are still attracted to him when he;s sick, when hes at his absolute worse and you still want to be with him
you know your in love
you don't feel bad telling him that macaroni tastes like crap
you forwarn him about pranks even though it would be funny to see him embarassed
you trust him so completely that a million girls could call asking for him and you would be even a tinsiest bit jealous
he think you look hot in his boxers and an old tee
he calls/textmessages you just because he was thinking about you
he passes up a football game on sunday with his buddies so he can stay home with you all day and cuddle
he tells you that he loves you and only ever wants to be with you(doesn't count if he's trying to get you in the sack)
