Forgive yourself and move on to better things if you can.
Guilt is as useless as regret and I'd say don't listen to these unthinking morons whose every answer to everything is more Jesus....Jesus may be the problem and it may be why you are feeling the guilt in the first place... maybe whatever you did is not so bad. Try to remain rational and keep your sense of reason and proportion...don't let unreason in just because you feel a bit vulnerable at the moment. Be strong!

Almost all people have committed wrong actions because of ignorance or of spiritual weakness. And it is even more dangerous if you think you are a saint instead of a guilty person!
The only way out is to turn to God in prayer and meditation for spiritual guidance and strength, then resolve to do the right things. You may fall again a thousand times, but you keep on repenting before you die, that would be alright. The real danger is to die without self struggling and sincere repentance.

not only you, all of us do some sh** one way or another..

think it over for one last time. define exactly what you think you did wrong. analize it and figure out your reasons to do what you've done.. Now, make some decisions. if you were under the same circumstances, would you do it again? why wouldn't you? make your own rules and give a word to yourself that you're not coming back to it, while you're totally convinced of the "why's"

after doing that, you should go for some relief, if you're religious, you might need an honest prayer with God, if you're not, try to talk honestly and open up with a closed person to you..

when everything is settled, turn this page over (the right way) and move on with your life. life is too short to waste in regretting things, instead, Enjoy it, and always stick to what you think is right in your soul..

OK, if it is something you have done in the past and it's come to haunt you, ask God to forgive you and the ability to forgive yourself; very important; then, also, ask those you have hurt before for forgiveness; that's important; if they have died or moved on, write a letter to the person, family and do that, if they dead, then write and rip up letter; I don't need to know details but I do know that when an act is committed, unless you made amends, it will come and haunt you until something is done.

Good to have more details. The heaviness in your heart is called "guilty feeling." It is there to remind you that what you did was morally wrong. It means that your conscience can't accept what you did as good. Your conscience got hurt. It is grieving. Give it some time to heal. In the meanwhile, do not do whatever you did again, or your conscience will become immune to it. It might lead to your downfall. Hope you recover soon.

well, i think you have done something really bad. So, just forget it. Try to think of good things.
And most importantly don't ever come close to doing it again. Pray to God too.

By the way what did you do? just curious.

Goto Jesus, he died for this very reason, so you don't need to suffer from the sin of this world. Give your life to him, he works loving wonders in peoples lives.

You have two options:

1) Kill yourself.

2) Suck it up and move on

I normally choose option #2, but on the rare occasion... A number one is called for...
