There is a Yiddish term, something like "Yutza Hurra", that describes nasty little demons that hang around humans doing nasty little things

Don't know what they are, but they used to scare the livin' hell out of me. I actually had the experience of hands groping my body when there was no one there. I was terrified. I called out for God's help (and I am not even religous) and the feeling faded away. I actually have symbols hanging in my house to protect me from evil spirits. I never considered myself superstitious, but I woul dance naked around a fire if it meant I would not get these experiences again.

I work with Paranormal and Psychic Phenomenon and technically it's true. The Scientific Explanation behind it is that it is a "Spirit" or it's your Subconscious that wants you to see things a certain way that will affect your decisions or how you perceive things.
A lot of people attribute such things as mere coincidence or a trick of light. The answer is yes and no. Yes, it really can be a trick of light, but that doesn't discount that your eyes were steered to see things that way or the Spirit that was influencing you nudged things in a way so that you'd notice them as a Sign.
The Electromagnetic FIeld surrounding the Planet allows for Spirits to move around because the Soul is electrical.
There were studies that were conducted on haunted places. In one case, they took 3 video cameras to a haunted insane asylum rumored to have ghosts. They installed the cameras set to video tape one area.
A ghost appeared and it registered on all three cameras shooting from different angles.
I work in the Film & Entertainment Industry. Camera Operators and people who work in Film Production know that cameras are extremely light sensitive. We have a device we use that measures the amount of light in a room.
When you go to a studio and look at the set, you'll notice all the bright lights that are designed to illuminate the area to get rid of shadows.
When it comes to ghosts, the space they inhabit is electrically charged and light traveling through that space will refract creating a hazy or ghost like image.
So in answer to your question, some of the things you see that are shadows are actually shadows because of the way you see them, but they still can qualify as Paranormal or Psychic Phenomenon influenced by a Spirit.

PA, I have to wonder whether you're stringing out a line to see how many bite. I've neither heard of them nor had any experience that could substantiate such a claim nor known anyone who has had a similar experience.
Given the number of people who have been photographed/video-taped since film was invented, I'd have expected at least -one- clip would have captured such things on film if they existed (based on the assumption these things you describe hang around people).
Either they're smart enough and disciplined enough to -never- enter the field of view of a camera, or they don't exist outside the imagination of the mind.
Personally, I'm apt to vote for the latter, and I intend no disrespect in saying this.
If they exist, and given their apparent avoidance of video equipment, perhaps the solution is to set up a video camera and turn it on, pointed at yourself. Either that will keep them at bay, or you capture them on film, or you have experiences which the camera cannot verify. Any of these results seems preferable to your fear of them.
Regardless of the outcome, I wish you peace of mind.
Added: If you've watched "A Brilliant Mind", consider the possibility your experiences are a manifestation of schizophrenia.
Again, no disrespect intended.

Yes, I have. Since age of 13 and probably before that because I dont remember well. You can see them out of the corner of your eye, but unlike an optical illusion that dissapears when you look straight at it, these Shadows linger. Once I was walking home late at night from a friends house...and there were hundreds of them! But I had had enough. The last straw was when I looked at one and it stayed...then for the first time ever, it smiled. First time then seeming insubstantial beings actually took shape. It had really long and sharp teeth. Something in me snapped and I didnt fear at all. I ran at it and the smile quickly faded with the shadow substance in tow.. HA ha ha. Do not fear them my friend.

The spiritual world is very real but not in the way you think.
There are demons and angels all around and people do see them from time to time.
Your symbols will not help you; Jesus Christ will. Find an honest Christian friend and investigate Christianity.

Do you know I think you might have a point!
I always seem to be jumping at shadows in my house, the feeling that I am being watched and then when I turn it is just in time to see a shadow disappear.....
Ok! That's good. I am not losing it big time!
Now I feel better!
It is good this Answers business!!!!

Hon, demons are horrific beings who are just pure evil. Imps that cause mischeif aren't demons in the classical sense.
There are a lot of non-physical entities and if you can 'see' them than good for you. Are you sure they aren't just 'evil' fairies, ghosts, or spirits?

Not only do I believe you I have seen them. and no I don't take drugs nor am I clinically insane. I don't believe it is a hallucination because there are 2 other people that live here that have seen them as well.

Amanda K, you mean visual hallicination, or optical illusion.
Optical refers to the physical world outside our brain, you see.
As for the question, I say that are a product (or sum if you would prefer) of visual hallucination and optical illusion.
