Where is the nicest place in Ireland to have a holiday. We have been to Wicklow and it was lovely but i wanted to visit a good old traditional pub with the irish music but we didnt find any. We also like our Mountain views too. Any suggestions.

Starting at the top of Ireland, Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland, Follow the coast line across into the Republic and continue through Co.Donegal, Strand Hill in Co.Sligo is really nice, continue, down through Co.Mayo, Co.Galway where you will find Connemara then on to the Cliffs of Moher Co.Clare, drive on through Co.Limerick and on to Co.Kerry, follow your map down the coast line and you will arrive in Bantry (south of Killarney town), then on to Co.Cork then on to Co. Waterford, continue back up through Wicklow where you have already been. You must have been to Avoca, (the Ballykissangle place) really nice there. Have a good trip and I will watch the site to see if you had a good trip!!!
This should take you a few day's. for accommodation use www.familyhomes.ie they are as it says family run, we use the all the time all over Ireland, the Nenagh "T1" is not far from where I was born and is the best, other than B&B, Kay gives Guests "Tart & Tea" when you arrive back after a busy day. I take people visiting us in North Wales, from Canada, Far East, Australia and local to Ireland and this is where we mainly stay.

My father went to Killarney earlier this year and raved about it. he said the steaks are great (well, he is a carnivore) and the scenery was beautiful. As far as I know, it's near the mountains too.
Our family used to always go to Kinsale each year when I was a kid and I loved it. It's right on the southern coast near Cork and it's a lovely seaside town with gorgeous views, shops and restaurants. There are often festivals in or near Kinsale and one can take boat trips, enjoy great seafood and relax in the many cafés. It might have changed since I was last there, but I really would recommend it. Every holiday we had there was a good one!

(And there's a Jazz festival in nearby Cork each autumn)

Try Donegal, or Cork County. Both rich in tradition.
