Things that make you go hmmmmmmm. And so many of them come from a country where immigration laws are very strictly enforced. I think a big part of the problem is the leadership of the country that seems to think it's our job to take care of everyone on the planet -- except, of course, our own citizens. When there's a big problem here like 9/11 or the Katrina disaster the government EXPECTS us to dig deep and contribute generously.

It is not new...it is now to the point that it is ridiculous.. I used to be pro- whatever, but no longer. We are being taken serious advantage of, and the Government has real interest here in doing nothing...ALL Social Security and Tax withholding are never claimed...that adds up to a lot of money . We are the ones who end up paying the piper. I say STOP ALL illegal immigration...and we would have the means if we were not snarled in a ridiculous Republican war that is eating us alive. And that includes all from CUBA

Because our government doesn't have the backbone to stop the herds of illegals migrating north to the United States of Welfare.

entitlement issues rather than work hard and do the necessary things in their home nations they would just rather go somewhere else to make more problems why do you think the places they come from are so bad in the first place

I see you haven't traveled much. If you had, you wouldn't answer that we want to go to other countries 'no questions asked'.

Oh, and Jackie...The politicians we elect are in office much longer than just a week.

People come here because its easier to walk across the border than to make changes to the system in their own country.

They may not. They just want us to think they do so as to confuse us. Then we as individuals have to decide if they are entitled to what they want or not. While we are busy arguing about it they just walk on in. Pro-illegals are putting us all in danger.

What people are you referring to? Surely not citizens of those countries where, by reciprocity or otherwise, US citizens are admitted 'no questions asked' etc.
