It's really hard to be around someone w/ NPD, let alone a parent. I'm not sure if one of your parents is like this, but if so, my advice to you is to find some support for yourself. A therapist, or support group can be really helpful.

yes to narcissistic parent and ex spouse...it is not easy but once someone gave me some good advice....deal with the parent on the days when you are feeling at your best and only contact them on those kind of days...with the spouse it was even more difficult and eventually led to divorce.. there is an old saying that we become like one of our parents and we marry the other one....I can say that was true in my case. If you live with a narcissist it would be helpful to have psychological support and a support group of healthy friends good luck
