I have always said that these sort of jobs should be done by people who have had a lifetime's experience.

If you want to do this type of work then you need to go to college without a doubt. Its not a case of doing the job now-college is a must. Get some proper advice from a careers advisore or from a college. Look thru a college prospectus and find coures you could apply for. What course you apply for depends on the grades you leave school with. To give the sort of advice you are thinking of you would be well to be a nurse for a few years first.

I would suggest teenage pregnancy co-ordinator, school nurse or youth worker in the sexual health unit as suitable jobs.

If I were you I would go look in the phonebook and figure out who you would call if you had questions yourself. Then you could call those people and see what type of jobs they have and what type of degree you would need. You want to make sure you have a degree that keeps you open to new things.

you can study psychology and become a counselor and guide people towards the right direction. or you can go medical, and become a gynocologist. but keep in mind, gynocologists make a LOT more money. psychologists, not so much.
but it really depends how you wanna advise people.

Why not become a RN? I would go down to your local clinic and ask them. Where I live we have two clinics that deal with early pregnancy and std's they are "birth right" and "semcac"

You could look into volunteering in south africa. Looks good on your CV. There are loads of gap year companies that do it, and they really need help with AIDS.
