Sounds like you still have the hots for the ex and even though you say it is an accident it probably wasn't I me why would your Ex's number still be doing on your cell? I think you need to stop and think about what the long run ending on this "trying to find out" mission will turn out, I can see it now, The G/F finds out you are searching for the X/G/F reply to a LOVE message that was suppose to be given to her, she won't believe you no matter how hard you plead and beg(my experience) and then her heart will be broken, Even if your plan was to get back together with the Ex, she will then see the same reasons that she dumped you in the first place and you then will be lonely and you will be a @ss in two girls minds than one, so if you really care for the g/f then show her the love and care you have for her so if the subject comes up that your Ex got a message she will be more likely to believe you because you didn't go any further in trying to find the response! First if you got a girlfriend then why are you worried about your ex-girlfriend not responding? Unless of course you are in some way hoping she is still single and maybe wanting to get back with you.
I would have deleted it and not have gave it a second thought. You are her ex- for a reason, so let it be its time to move on.

What does it matter if it was sent by mistake. Her not replying shouldn't matter since it wasn't meant for her right so what's the big deal forget about it. Although it sounds like maybe it wasn't a mistake since her not replying has you in a tissy. Huh?
