You should go to a bail bondsman. You give the bailbondsman 10% of the total bail (not refundable), and they will front the entire bail to the court and your boyfriend will be released. He must appear at all court appointments, or bail will be forfeited, which means the bail bondsman will send a bounty hunter to retrieve your boyfriend and collect.
For the idiots who are chanting for you to leave your boyfriend, and hoping that he "suffers the wrath of the justice system", pay no attention to them. They are clueless, obviously, about how the justice system works. Your boyfriend has NOT been CONVICTED of anything. He is INNOCENT until proven guilty in a court of law, and since he's being held in jail (not prison) on bond, that means he has not yet faced a court of a law. It's pathetic to see so-called Americans act like the idiots they are, but this is why we see our constitutional rights eroded away day after day. Maybe, the people posting these comments don't DESERVE them.

If you and he are that poor, I'd say he should be a man and do the time. After all, he apparently did something stupid, and he probably has more time than money.
Sorry to sound mean, but I've been in jail. It sucks, but no worse than being poor on the outside. He's not going into the state pen or anything, at least for now.

Find a guy sharp enough to stay out of freakin jail...makes for better relationships and saves you all that bail money...you could buy that cute little outfit at Sak's or Needless Markup...or even that sexy skimpy little set at Victoria's Secret...

Leave the jerk! He won't ever give you the money back, and he will probably end up back in jail soon enough! Or, you could sell sex. Hummers go for about 10 bucks a pop!

Have you been to a bail bondman. They will only charge you a percentage of the bail. Usually like 10% I think.

Let him stay in jail. Next time he'll think twice about doing something that will end up with him in jail.
