I moved back home for a few months when I moved house and OMG, never again. We argued constantly, and they treated me like I was a little girl again. I love my parents, but no I could never and would never move back home, we'd end up killing each other..lol

Look, It's Not A Shame To Live With Your Parents, But It's A Shame If You Don't Do Anything About It. Just Do What You Have To Do, And Get Out! It's That Simple!!!

Oh yeah, been there done that!
But you know what, once.......when one of your
parent pass away trust me you'll wish you had
spend more time with them like your dad or
your mom. So try to enjoy and put up with
them while their still around.
I should of been more helpful and spend
more precious time with my dad when he was
around but I didn't and now it's too late. I still
have my mom around and as much as she
gets on my nerve I try to block it out and just
let her do her thing and go with the flow.
I don't want to make the same mistakes twice.
I think some people in general takes
advantage of what we have now and not think
about what we can loose!
They don't take the time to think and realize
it's not here forever.

Only once did I move back in with my parents, that is because my husband deployed to Afghanistan, we were newly weds and our home was in Germany. Needless to say I didn't know the area that well or people around me, so I did move in with my parents. I love them to death but would never do it again! I like my freedom a little to much.
Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brillant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

I never moved out, the others did. First my parents split and my father moved out, then my sister got married, then my mom and I moved in with my aunt and after that my mom moved out and it was just my aunt and me. I moved into my sister's house, who by that time was separated and in the process of divorce. Then my mom moved in with us, and just less than a year later she passed away. That was 4 yrs ago and my sister and I have lived together since.
I never "moved out" as many people do, but I've always lived with family.

My husband and i started out with his parents, and in 6 years have lived with them a total of 4 times each for a 6 month period. They don't drive us nuts, but we do need our own space, and thank god we've out grown that phase of needing to live with them.

No, I just wouldn't do it, when my parents come to stay with me for a week they drive me nuts, they are HIGH maintenance, want waiting on hand and foot, need to entertain them etc, it's like having 2 kids all over again!!!

No my parents are not like that, but if so, i would be glad to be there by their side. Time will come that our parents wil need us. It'll be our turn to take care of them. And i will feel gr8 to if i'll be able to take care my own parents. I will never leave them, no matter how irresponsible they are to me. They are still my parents and I love them. If I were you.
