My boyfriend of 8 years had a guys' night out tonight, & I had one with the girls. I was sitting at the bar talking to one of my friends, when suddenly I felt a hand running up my thigh & I hear a guy saying "Hi, baby, how you doing-" or something to that effect. I freaked out-semi scream, "Oh my gosh-no, no, get away.." hand in his face shooing him away. I was shocked & startled. I have never had any other guy than my boyf touch me like that & it freaked me out. My friends were looking at me like I was crazy. One said "I have never in my life seen a girl react that way to a guy hitting on her.." I said "He ran his hand all the way up my leg!" My friends didn't know that - they thought that I was freaking out just b/c he was trying to talk to me. The guy apologized & his friends apologized, saying "He didn't mean anything." I was embarrassed because I spazzed out, but it was my first reaction, & what kinda guy goes up to a girl & does that? Anyways, is this somethin I tell my boyf?

Meaning, tell him for my benefit - not his - I am a little weirded out ---- I know, I know, I sound like a complete pussy, but I have never been "violated" like that before....I kinda want to get it off my chest. My friends were no help - all they said was that I should have gotten angry instead - I am not the type of person who's first reaction is to be angry - yes, I am still shocked by the audacity of some people...

Sure. You did nothing wrong. I also don't think you overreacted to someone/anyone touching you.

I would start with..."OMG, you would NOT believe..."

If it's brought up by accident later, by you or a friend... it's better to have been upfront about it.

Him finding out later would be worse than not mentioning it now.

If it was me that found out later... I'd be furious. And quite frankly, I'd think you had specifically tried to hide it from me.

I have been given listed off issues I try this annoy my bf, didnt even get a card, have been given taken out to TACO BELL, observed a lame action picture, have been given right into a controversy for 4 hours and cried all nighttime long. meanwhile i spent $40 on a severe high quality card, a gaggle of candy, and alluring undies. WHICH i did no longer get to apply, because of the fact he threw a fit some burrito being too warm in front of my parents. Just tell your boyfriend that some DRUNK dumbass was hitting on you and you freaked out and told him to "shoo" away.

Only you know the truth. Your boyfriend should trust you if he really loves you! If he thinks your lying...you should dump him.

but after 8 years, I would think that your boyfriend might trust you. That's a very long time. It would be pretty pathetic of your boyfriend to NOT believe you!

If you guys have been going out for 8 years.. then you should tell him. By now, ur relationship would be built upon trust. You should tell him, before your friends tell him by accident or because they thought you told him already. Tell him that you freaked out and that they apologized. If something like that happened to your bf, would you want him to tell you? If you want him to always be honest with you, then you have to be honest with him first.

I would. Especially if it was someone unwantedly touching you. For safety purposes you need to tell in case there is a chance the guy who touched you comes back and tries again. As a loving boyfriend I would want to know of anyone putting their hands on my girlfriend. I would't go kick his ***, but I know him, I would confront him and ask him to stop.

I would use it in a romantic way, if you feel the need to tell him...Say you want no other man touching you, and you felt that way, made you realize how much you want your man...something like that, it will ease your mind and make your boyfriend feel special. Kill two birds with one stone...otherwise id just keep it to myself.

no, don't bother. If you both knew this guy that would be a different story. No need to tell your boyfriend about some random pig- what good would telling him possibly accomplish? It's not like you had anything to do with it.

well the guy at the bar is obviosely a joke, so it doesnt mean anything. tell your bf if the guy freaked you out so he can make sure he protects you, tell him how you reacted, and he will understand. You go girl! =)

More than likely it will only make your boyfriend upset that another guy touched you. Just don't tell him. Things will be better that way.
