if someone wants to read my last question to understand better, plz do. but i wanna learn how to ghost hunt whether its through more scientific means like recordings, tape, pictures (as scientific as ghosts get), or other methods. i get crossed answers with people saying i should be careful, or that i have nothing to fear and to go on and quench my curiosity. How do i go about finding someone willing to teach me how to know what's dangerous and what's not?

Can ghost hunting really be dangerous?

Pretty much what I said before--stay away from the channelling stuff, which is highly unprofessional practice anyway, and you should be fine. Take pictures, get EVP, take videos, leave them be otherwise.

I highly recommend Katharine Ramsland's excellent book "Ghost" for a nice, unbiased look at ghost hunters all over.

Yes. It can be dangerous. A good rule of thumb is to avoid any kind of seance or use of a ouija board. When I go out I like to visualize a white light protecting me. When finished I ask that no spirits follow me. I, personally, have never had anything weird happen to me. But I've known of a few groups where a member became ill but was fine once leaving the area they were investigating. In one case a girl became dizzy, fell down and began speaking in a man's voice.

Of course it can also be dangerous if you are trespassing. Always get permission from the ower's of buildings or land or whatever. Never investigate an area you have no permission to be at.

Where are you located? There are all kind of groups popping up all over the US. I'm sure you can find one in your area. If not then read some books. There are great ones out there. Also, I can tell you about a couple of great sites to go to where people are great about helping and answering questions. They are sites specific to the paranorma. Email me and I will give you the links.

Yes ghost hunting can be dangerous, and like someone else arleady said...you don't want to channel ghosts unless you have experience. I know some really good places to go in the Chicago area, and i also have great pictures from my ghost hunting in that area.

Not all ghosts are real spirits. Some are like video recordings
on what they call the ether, some spiritual substance. Some are
just the effects of someone living in the house's spirit "going off" due to stress.
I heard that if a spirit starts getting mad, you need to try and get
it to fight you like a human. Then it can't hurt you. But if it starts
using it's spirit, (mind power). It can mess you up.

It's extremely dangerous. If you go ghost-hunting, you're in extreme danger of wasting time and money, and of making yourself look like a fool.

Don't say you weren't warned.

There are no such thing as ghosts friend. When people die they are dead and know nothing. The Bible is very specific on this.

Act 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day.
Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

The Bible likens death to a sleep, and when Jesus comes he awakens you from your sleep, and you rise again.

All ghost activity is really the activity of demonic spirits deceiving people into believing that we have immortal souls, this we do not have.

You've got to do your research!

Go and rent copies of Ghost Busters I and II, immediately. That will get you off to a good start.

It depends on wether you believe and i guess you do. The thing that scares most people is what they cannot see, i.e behind them, and they freak out and go into shock or they begin to hyperventilate. But generally its just fun!

i think it is terribly dangerous. it is allowing spirits into your mind. ghost hunting would fall under what is called the "Familar Spirit" Occult, Mind Readers, Astrology. they are called familar because its seems they can be of no harm and thats what they want us to believe. i pray everyday to be released of evil spirits
