im a 17 year old american and my girlfriend is a 22 year old australian. We'd do anything to be together but cant seem to find the answers im looking for. My parents have said many times they will give their consent for us to marry. Is there anyway we can get married now...either in america or australia? If we can get married what will we have to do after the ceremony to be together? We just want to be together. I'm looking for legal advice, not personal judgement. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I think, It's not yet time for you to get married. It's too early. Maybe you can marry your girlfriend at the age of 18 up. Enjoy your life first.

Don't do it. You are too young to realize to accept the fact that she may be using you to get US citizenship. Wait till she gets her citizenship on her own then get married or you will be sorry. I know as I have been approached by women who said they wanted to get married but when I said they had to get thier citizenship first the ran off in search of other fools to use.

go to your local justice of the peace they will marry you, your parents just have to sign a consent. Then you can choose to have a wedding later if you'd like. Contact your local City Hall
