The Veterans Affairs' National Cemetery Administration allows only approved emblems of religious beliefs on government headstones. Over the years, it has approved more than 30, including symbols for the Tenrikyo Church, United Moravian Church and Sikhs. There's also an emblem for atheists – but none for Wiccans.

The dignity to be buried in the manner that your faith dictates appears to be a privilege more than a right.

Yes, I seen that and I have signed the petition to allow Wiccans to have their right. They died for this country! They deserve respect!

Typical blinkered American thinking.

They need to follow the UK Forces way of thinking - The UK forces recently ruled that a Satanist should be allowed to practice his "religion" as to stop him would be discrimination.

And as for the stupid answer above that Wiccans have only been around for 50 years .... the basic tenets of the wiccan faith predate christianity, and in fact many of those tenets have been absorbed into christinaity.

That's interesting...because I know the army has recognized Wicca as a valid religion. In fact, soldiers must be allowed to practice. They are supposed to be given the same courtesy as any other religion.

Uh, you can die for your country and not put whatever you want on your headstone? The douchebag down the street who drank himself to death can put whatever he wants on his headstone so long as his family can pay for it, and people who make one of the greatest sacrifices have limitations? That's horrible.
