We are both new to the whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing. We live about half an hour away from each other, but I keep in touch via the internet although I don't get to see her often, maybe on a bi-monthly basis. How do I show my girlfriend I love her? I'm afraid of losing her since we both go to different schools and I don't want the relationship to be too boring. I'm very shy, and she is also to some degree. I'm so timid I even ask her permission to hold her hand, hug or kiss (I haven't even gone farther than a peck on the cheek). Yeah, I'm that shy. I buy her whatever I can whenever I can and am always talking to her, trying to get to know her better. I'm even too shy to boldly tell her "I love you." I just whisper it. I know I can do more, but what?

god you sound like my man three years ago. Same deal too....30-45 minute commute.....different schools.....and he was shy to show affection at first.
He found it easier to tell me things over the interent, you can't see reactions on the face, and can't hear emotions in the voice. Get used to saying "I love you" that way so its easier in public. Upgrade to leaving her love notes in your/her car or bedroom saying "I love you" or "Thank you for being mine" ..."Your sexy baby". Write her letters to keep her thinking of you inbetween visits; and put your cologne or deoderant on it to make it smell like you.
I would recomend((though I'm a seriously affectionate person, I enjoy touch)), that you start to trust her with your feelings....slowly. Little things. If you guys sit in front of the TV watching anything, insist on her sitting right next to you, and have your arm around her. Do silly things that make her smile and if she asks why your acting that way, tell her you like hearing her laugh or love seeing her smile. Boost her confidence by telling her shes sexy or hot.
Find out what she likes. Every girl has something, a spot or a action she associates with comfort. I like my hair to be played with ((she will likely have something else)). Something that involves her directly and a happy warm fuzzy feeling. Usually something from childhood.

You are soo sweet to her already, why do you think you need to do more? I know how it feels though, you always want to do more, and this is what makes it so... wonderful.
What I really liked is when a guy would get me one rose. (Yeah, a dosen of roses is super, but...) One rose is somehow very special. But please, if you're leaving a rose on her porch, let her know somehow it was from you. (I was curius about one particular rose that showed up on my door step. I only found out 12 years later who it was from. Smiles.)

well you probably don't love her judging by your description. you're probably just infatuated. try making a group outing with her and some of your freinds to make it less awkward between yall.
