What's the best advice you can give me. i'm developing this keen hobby and want to see stuff. i understand i require patience and all. so far all i've done is taken photos in cemeteries and got the debatable orbs and some inexplicable fog and smoke in photos. i'm looking for more ways to go beyond the orbs though. my buddy wants to try sayonces (spelling?) and Quija boards at these cemeteries. i want pictures, video, EVP recordings. what's the best way.

and are there any ghost hunters taht have unnerving feelings when you get to your locations of investigation? like when you get on a rollercoaster. as you go up the first hill, you're thinking, sh*t! what was i thinking, but once you're going, you're good. is that normal. sometimes i let myself too creeped out too easily. is that normal for someone as interested in ghosts.

If you have no prior experience in dealing with entities and don't know how to ground/protect yourself, you are asking for trouble in the worst way. Find someone who's studied ghost hunting and knows when there's potential trouble, then ask if they'll teach you. Otherwise, you may find that you've got more problems than you know what to do with -- everything from depression and suicidal thoughts to bringing unpleasant entities home with you.

And to answer your second question, I get a shaky sensation in the solar plexus area whenever there are discarnates hanging around. It's hard to describe, but it's something like shivering without being cold.

Well I can help you with your questions. I've been a ghost hunter for a good part of my life. Color film is bad...just don't do it, because when you are looking at it sometimes it's hard to tell an orb from a flash orb. Use black and white film...it's more expensize, but i asure you the payout will be better. Secondly go to other places then graveyards, ghosts are mostly spirits that don't know and/or don't want to be dead. The interent can help you find some interesting places in your area. Also go to the library...like the main branch. They have old newpaper articles and it's also good for finding out the history of the place you are going to. I'm always willing to help out a fellow ghost hunter. If you have any other quandries please feel free to shoot me an email. Oh and before i forget...yes i and alot of other people can "sense" when you are close to a haunted "hotspot". The best thing to do is get something that reads tempature, because if you can't sense things you'll notice the first thing is it'll get colder in the area.

After gazing a number of seasons of the two exhibits, I could say Ghost Hunters look greater real than maximum Haunted. In MH, Yvette starts off to harass me by believing each and every noise or "orbs" to be ghost appropriate. I examine from one source that Derek tended to faux some issues. i've got faith that maximum Haunted has intentionally created some noises, bumps, etc. perchance no longer all even with the undeniable fact that. Ghost Hunters tend to attempt to debunk a number of the claims and that's greater medical than utilising mediums or psychics. It has greater appropriate info than maximum Haunted does. perchance there are some scripted areas in Ghost Hunters, yet maximum in all probability no longer for the period of the examine. maximum Haunted is unique, besides the indisputable fact that it is not very credible or good. Ghost Hunters is greater good and nonetheless unique.

The "fog and smoke" is known in ghost-hunting terms as plasm.

EVP is fun--in our experience, it seemed like the places where we got no pictures we got great EVP and vice versa.

I highly advise againt Ouija boards. They're either completely fake, in which case it's a waste of time, or they're completely real and you're channelling spirits--letting them control your body, and it's quite possible they might like it and decide to stay. (I haven't decided which I think yet.) Same deal with a seance.

"Professional" ghost hunters disturb the spirits they're looking for as little as possible--the most we ever did was invite spirits to speak if they wished before EVP.
