Yes, some are good for you, some are not.
I noticed people are confused. Not all carbonated soft drinks have sugar. You may be talking about diet or carbonated water type of carbonated soft drinks? Carbonation is the fizz they put in any type of drink. The fizz is not going to hurt you unless you hold in your burps, etc. I like sugar free, no artificial colors, no artificial sweetners water. like this http://www.lacroixwater.com/
I feel fizzy drinks may be even better than some juices and some milks because alot of juices have added sugars, milk has a little blood in it and also hormones. However 100% juice and organic milk are awesome choices.

Anything consumed in excess is bad for your health...
A glass or two won't hurt you, as long as you don't overdo it, there is no problem...
The CO2 puts a lot of gas in the stomach, especially if you drink too much .. It could cause gas pains and /or bloating.
The worst part of the soft drinks is the sugar base...in the long run...bad for the teeth, and bad for the waistline!

Soda is nothing but liquid candy. With 10 tsp. of sugar per can, and 150 calories per can, on average, it's nothing but trouble.
Read more here:
http://www.cspinet.org/liquidcandy/index.html
It's pushing milk out of people's diets, and also toddlers are showing increasing tooth decay because their parents are putting SODA into their bottles. The acids in soda eat your teeth, and the sugar decays them. Caffeine is present in a lot of soda; it is addicting.
A person mentioned something about the 'soda mafioso'.
Consider this.........
Where can you go and NOT have access to a soda machine?
Almost nowhere, right?
