Interesting argument, and certainly a novel one I have not yet heard.
You could add that the aid sent world wide often never makes it to those who need it anyhow, but instead just serves to pad the pockets of the dictators in charge.

It is an unfortunate situation that americans believe falsely that they give so much to help the poor of other countries.
American foreign policy is more detrimental to countries than helpful.
Stuff The American dream. People should be able to have a better life in their own countries.
America often supplies weapons to both sides of a conflict just to make more money.
People are starving!
From what I see many parts of America could qualify for third world aid.

Most of the aid we parcel out is in the form of military equipment which is rebuild American military equipment or hardware. If we do not sell our stuff it is reasoned, someone else will sell their stuff, Russia, France or Israel.
For some very odd reason, we don't offer to sigh an agreement with other Countries to stop selling these weapons. We also don't make Peace our foreign Policy.
I am not suggesting we shut down the Military and our defense, but I am suggesting we stop fooling ourselves in to thinking that war is a thing to do in certain circumstances, reasonable thing, affordable thing , inevitable thing or a courageous thing to do. It is not the thing to do if there is anyway to avoid it.
It is a lot more courageous to be peaceful than it is to fight a war, period.
Wake up America before a dirty bomb goes off in someones backyard.
(PS, don't miss understand me, I know nothing about building a dirty bomb nor do I want to; So calm down NSA.)

Humanitarian aid is going to the Swiss bank accounts of third world-dictators, like Mugabe or Hugo Chavez. Africa has been de-colonized since 50 years and it is still a mess, pumping money into it does not make a difference. Tear down the international protective tariff walls (especially in U.S. and Europe) and let the poor countries develop themselves.

The USA only gives a tiny fraction of its budget in humanitarian aid. Even including military aid it's less than 1% of the US budget.

Why don't they fix thier own country's problems them? They come here because it is easier to steal from their neighbors than fix their own house. 11 to 12 million people can make a big difference in their own country but they are to scared and lazy to make an attempt because they know the Mexicam government won't allow it. So they come here and take advantage of our system.

NO, they cannot move in en masse. And, you need to learn to type without having every word be in ALL CAPS. 'They' can apply themselves and fix their own countries instead of just trying to jump on the 'america' boat. Yes, that will take hard work, but we keep hearing how 'hard working' people are, maybe if they were as 'hard thinking' as they are 'hard working', they'd be a little farther along, here? NO to parasitism, YES to structured foreign aid.

American Dream?? What funny papers you been reading!!
That is for a select few my friend, and if you aren't independently wealthy, you are 2 paychecks from poverty!! The city doesn't care why you can't pay your taxes, and miss a couple of payments on your car and watch what happens!
Dream on!!
And by the way, I don't get the luxury of telling you where my tax dollars should be spent, and I think it should be mutual!!
