romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose, 8:29 because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 8:30 And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.

8:31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 8:32 Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things? 8:33 Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 8:34 Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died (and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us. 8:35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 8:36 As it is written, “For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 8:37 No, in all these things we have complete victory through Him who loved us! 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

I'm not like Job..but I would hope to be...actually my prayer is to want to desire to be like Job..cuz I don't even have that down. How would I feel toward the Almighty maker of heaven and earth if my children were taken from me and I was made ill? I wonder about this...it terrifies me to think I might lose my faith or grow bitter and angry toward God. So to say...No matter what happens in my life..good or bad..I will trust you, O Lord...that says alot. Yet, Job was a rightious person and God trusted him to keep it strait. So...I dunno..this is my favorite verse though cuz its essentially the entire message of the Bible. If Adam and Eve had trusted God, if we all trusted in the commandments of God, the wisdom of the Word and the Blood of Jesus...how would this world be now? Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Genesis 1:25
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Heh it's the only one I know teehee, not because it's about nekkidness but because it was recited on an old tv program that I saw when I was a child

and then
Revelatioons 22:21
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with the saints. Amen.

Because it is the end, and I always looked forward to that part when I was punished to read the whole bible.

Seriously, what better way to run a child away from Christianity, than to punish them for childish things by reading the bible front to back in one sitting with no breaks and nothing to eat until it was finished. That's not helping the child learn the error of their ways, that's punishment and torture, especially having to hold it in until you were done....Hours on end in torture of begots and trying to understand the difference between thee and thine and thou and thrice. How the hell is an 8 year old supossed to grasp that in the 20th century, it's like asking High School students to understand why Shakespear's characters walked out with horns on their head from makeup and costume..........and it's not because they were the creations of Satan.

stybaj,
Oh good. This question hasn't come up for a day or so. Another opportunity to show some classic scripture brought to you by the Holy Spirit, commercial free!

Ezekiel 39:12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.

That's going to happen after Jesus comes back to earth. He's going to rule for a thousand years. And then, there will be one last war. And then, THE END OF SIN!!!! Yeah!

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
(Psalms 22:1 and Mark 15:34)

It reminds me that life isn't all puppy dogs and rainbows, and also helps me understand the concept of the Trinity in the sense that God isn't limited by mathematical equations or our understanding of logic. I'll leave that to Gnostics. They have their own religion.

Peace
