I agree with "Curiousity" on here that drinking water a while before you eat really curbs your appetite.
Cereal is a tough one because a lot of people do tend to eat LOTS of it...
You need to try a few things that you REALLY enjoy eating that satisfy your appetite, but that are good for you.. (like maybe yogurt, salads.., etc.)
Do you have a steam room at a local gym you can use? That might be a good option to excercising?
I'll bet you what though.. I'll betcha your sweetie is going to love you know matter what! You sound like a caring, kind person!! ~~ Just tell him that you're slowly working on getting healthier and I'm sure he'll think that the pace you're on is just fine.

I lost lots of weight eating low carb, and I wasn't hungry for one second. Your body gets into an altered state that suppresses hunger, you lose weight like crazy and it's actually really healthy. Don't eat any more cereal, it's really unhealthy!

my expertise will not be certified for 8 more months,but i can give you on advice based on experience- yeah i did the 4 bowls of cereal thing too.....eat correctly(healthy) to prevent cravings for a nutrient you are lacking,don't lack (take a daily vitamin),get some exercise(anything you can) everyday,drink plenty of h2o so your body doesn't trick you into eating when you are only thirsty,sleep enough(because not enough rest makes you crave junky carbs and sugar),i could teach you, but i have to charge!

Breakfast:
- 1 apple
- 1 yoghurt
- 1 cup coffee
Lunch:
- 1 apple
- 1 yoghurt
- some chicken (bolied or grilled)
Dinner:
- 1 apple
- 1 yoghurt
- 1, 2 boiled eggs
you lose like 1 kg a day (at least that's what they say)
