Yes, my eyes do glaze over any extremely long answers.
Sometimes, my answers are also long, but I try to break it up with many paragraphs - rather than just one long monotonous paragraph.
I understand also that you find "regurgitated bibles verses" boring. Yes, that can be the case - perhaps, you would rather that people answer the question with their own thoughts and feelings instead of quoting the bible.
To sum up, I understand, empathize and sympathize with your question.

Personally I would want to be detailed as possible (to avoid misunderstandings and to just answer in one go)...but I really do not like regurgitated bible verse answers...it may imply that the answerers of such do not really understand 'em since they do not say it in their own words/way.
Yes my eyes glaze over...sometimes I get so dizzy just trying to read them that I almost feel like I've taken a 9.5g ride on an astronaut training centrifuge...

i hope you dont mean me....i try to answer in detail, but i generally will not quote scripture since i detest the phrase "Because, God said so..." as an answer.
even my children know better than to tell me what a word means by using that word in their explanation.
but, yes my eyes do glaze over...regardless of the subject of the regurgitated material.

I just don't read them. If people have a long statement to make I prefer it if they just add a link to their answer. A lot of things are copied and pasted anyway, so why not just give the link. I find that very use full.

No, not at all. It is good to see people quoting Bible verses as opposed to writing filth and garbage with vile language and degrading talk. I love the Bible so I think it is a very good thing.
God bless you!

Ahahaha, yes, almost every time. I actually just skip over them. Gosh, I dislike those with intensity. Especially when the asker tells them not to do that. God didn't write the Bible, so I don't believe most of it.

Unless it's one of my own questions, I don't read the long answers (verses or not). It's not my question, I'd just like to answer the damn question someone posted.

oh yeah, definitely.
i'm a long answerer, but i definitely don't sit around quoting bible verses like a missionary. it's just not my style. and it bothers me big time, because i wonder if these ppl actually understand what they're quoting... because in order to understand something, you need to be able to put it in your own words.
