You should only be friends with this guy and nothing else- you even said yourself that he lied in the past. And if you feel that you can't even trust him then you should also reconsider your friendship with him.

good luck:)

my ex (also my son's father) is 1 of my best friends. we were together for 8 yrs & have been apart for 8 yrs so i guess time has helped in allowing us to stay friends (having a child together has also played a big part). don't get me wrong, we still have our share of ups & downs but w/o being in a committed relationship w/ 1 another, the downs don't affect our friendship that much

Well in some cases it works out, but if he acts like he still wants you it can get ugly. Sometimes they get jealous of other guys in your life. But if he knows that you are only friends that it could work out. No commentment is the best thing for you with this guy.

No I wouldn't hang out with my ex but I would want to remain friends with her. My son's mother and I are best friends I even went to her wedding. But we never hung out together the relationship was over but the friendship remained. Don't hang out move on

Hi, It sounds like you are headed for trouble. If you think he still wants you, and he has lied to you before. He will lie to you again even being friends, which this friend thing will turn into a big mess. You need to move on with your life, while you still can.

I personally prefer to cut all ties with ex's whether or not they ended it or I ended it. Whats in the past best left in the past.

Yes, i'm still friends with my ex, and our situation is similar to yours. Now, I am the one that he talks about his affairs to, i'm soooo glad we are friends now and not together. Now i actually like him again, lol.
