i think your question means how a person convert to muslim from other religion. there is no any complication at all. when a person like to be muslim or he knows what Islam is, he has to declare an oath (KALIMA) that I say and be witness "there is no god except Allah and Muhammad is Allah's prophet". then he becomes a Muslim. one is Muslim is not just by his name but his actions which should be as per Quran and Hadees.

do Muslims get baptized? Your not real clear on what it is your asking. Are they changing religions or what?

They can only turn Christian when they leave their country becuase they don't have religious tolerance over there. They will lop you head off for doing that.
