And if these aren't ghosts they see but demons, why would satan tip someone off by letting them know demons exist? I mean wouldn't he have the upper hand by NOT letting them know it was him?

No there are no ghost, just demons playing bad games with humans! The scriptures tell you when you die you remain in the grave until he awakens you! Thus there can not be ghost!
As far as we go, Satan has been around forever as he was be for the earth was.
God in his word has told us that The least of the angels is greater than the best of men! Don't under estimate Satan!
If you look around you, you'll notice Satan is doing a wonderful great job. Look how many people don't believe in God. That's Satan's goal, so you have to realize he is doing as astounding job!
Christians are being assaulted wonderfully!
We have been waiting for it and ready for it as it was for told in the scriptures. Everything we were told is UN winding be for our very eyes, thank God, It will soon be over in a few years!

Who said ghosts have to be either of those things?
Perhaps they are "Earth's memories".
Or a loop in the space/time continuum.
Or maybe they are hallucinations.
Maybe, ghosts are a scar or a birthmark of life. Some are more prominent than others, some are rarely (if ever) seen. But they exist.
And if you are a believer of "sleep after death" perhaps ghosts are just a person's dreams while they await Christ.
Who knows? Nobody. That's why people "believe" things. There is no right or wrong belief, because nobody actually KNOWS.

i believe that demons and angels are among us.
as for ghosts, i happen to believe that i saw a ghost in my house as a teen. the ghost always went from our bathroom, to the hallway to the dining room and into our kitchen. my mom and dad and even a friend of mine saw her. over the course of a couple of years.
years later, when the house was torn down, after being sold to a business, they found the bones of a woman gone missing over thirty years before, as they were excavating the site.
the husband was questioned, arrested and confessed that he killed his wife in the bathroom and buried her body under the kitchen (no concrete foundation) and that it was his girlfriend who got on the greyhound bus, in oklahoma city, pretending to be his wife.
she got off at a stop, prior to where the wife was to meet her sister and was picked up by the husband, at that stop.
i believe to this day, that the ghost was trying to show us the way to her body, so she could rest. why was the ghost still, here? i dont know, but i do believe it.
as for tipping his hand, satan does not care. there will always be those who deny God, until every knee bends and every mouth confesses, so i assume that he finds it amusing to continue to harm those who might follow God.

soul sleep is not the position taken by most christians. As for ghosts,.I have no idea where they come from. Perhaps it is demons or maybe its our loved ones checking in on us, or possibly drafty pipes.
