Different cultures have there own word that identifies/connects with what some people call the Great Mystery....which is another word for God. There is only ONE God....God is a powerful energy...a universal energy that Created ALL things. If the human race would pull their heads out of their butts and realize, in essence we all pray differently no matter which race or religiousity you choose to belong too. We all celebrate God on our own terms even those who say there is no God or they are athiest. How did they get here. If these people think we came from slime or Apes....where did THEY come? Obviously from a Power Greater than us. Cause slime didn't just happen and the theory of Evolution comes from people that cannot accept the truth. There is a Power Greater than us....and in my book does not look like a Monkey

(1) The consistency in the build and nature of this universe points to only one God.

(2) The reason there are many other 'gods' and beliefs is because God allowed it.

(3) I don't believe in any particular religion, but I do think there is a God to this universe. It's the only way things like the first matter, life and physical laws can be explained. Atheists like to think those all either popped up from nowhere or were 'just there from the beginning', which doesn't make sense to me.

My personal belief is that all Gods and Goddesses are One God, and there are so many because our human minds simply cannot fathom the entirety of the One God, if you will. Think of them like the many facets of a gemstone, each one reflecting a bit of the light, the truth. It's like the tale of three blind monks examining an elephant with their hands and describing to the others what he feels and what it must be. The first monk felt the trunk of the elephant and proclaimed it must be a snake since it was long and round, just like a snake. The second monk was examining the ear, and upon finding it was large and papery thin he thought it must be a large leaf of some plant. The third monk had felt his way around one of the elephants large legs and concluded that it most certainly must be the trunk of a tree. In the end, each monk had come to form a different mental image of what they had found and felt the others must be wrong; all the while unable to discern the true form of the elephant. It's the same with us, we are blind to the true form of God, so we claim to know exactly what we feel without ever truly knowing.

There are different religions, however, we do not all pray to the same god. There is a true God. God Almighty, whom the Hebrews called Jehovah. This is the God that Jews and Christians worship. Christians have a savior, Jesus Christ. He died for our sins and took the punishment for our sins so that we would not have to. He died one time so that all men could be bought back and reconciled with God.

Look around you and you will see that there must definately be a God? or do you think everything that we know just jumped up one day( wich by the way god also created"day and night")out of nothing?now that we know that there is a God we also know that there is a bible right? if you read the bible you will see that God warns us of many false prophetes and false Gods, because mankind goes with whatever gives him/her a comfortzone, let it be money, sex, etc. So its easy to believe in a God that you can see........but can you have faith in something that you can not see????? Personaly i believe in God, the One and only God Who Gave his son to die for our sins so that we can have eternal life. And i have found that in times that I walked with God it was and is the best and most florishing life that i have had!!!! Also i had very bad, alone times when i walked without Him. So read the bible and prey to God and you will get the best answer there and not in yahoo!!!!!!!!!

Depends on who claims there is only one god. Many believe in a number of gods, or none. Belief in only one is a relatively recent development among humans, but still predating Christianity. Aton, for example, was worshipped in Egypt as the only god some three generations before Moses.

The three largest religions have only One God (Christians, Muslims and Jews) but the rest of the religions have different smaller gods to symbolize the attributes of that bigger God. for example the god of nutrition, the god of wisdom...

Different Gods could mean a person's belief in their own "higher power" Higher power can be a God, a belief, a feeling, a group such as "AA", or whatever a person chooses to believe. If they have faith in their higher power, then they usually are more spiritual and live better lives than non believers. And that, my friend, is def true. As long as you believe in something, your life will def be better.

there is a misconception about the jew, islamic and christian God being a different being. we all believe He is God, regardless of whether we call him God or Allah.

as for the others, there are always those that will bow down only to what they can see, therefore they IDOLize the deity of their choice. whether it be a statue or the trees in the woods.

Perhaps because there is more than one deity in the universe. I see no reason to believe that there is only one.
