i go to a school which dominated by hispanic and black people, i'm new to this school, i'm an asian, a lot of them alway stare at me, like when i am walking through the hallway, that make me feel so uncomfortable, there's a hispanic guy keep staring at me even when i see him,and one day, i was just talking to a teacher, and there's a black girl sitting very close to me, she was staring at me very boldly, i tried to pretend that i was not noticed that, cause i don't want to be embarrased. the most terrible thing is that i smiled to a hispanic girl who sitting next to me when we saw each other, i want to be friendly to her,but she acted like she did not see me, she just looked to some other places, like nothing happed, i wonder if they did not see any other asian before(there are also a few asians in my school)or they are just racist? (don't want to offend anyone, just want to figure out my situation here)

Maybe you have a buger hanging out of your nose. you are talking about high school right? Are you saying the few white people there are also rude? It sounds like you are going to school in a not so decent neighborhood anyway. Maybe they're all just ghetto and trying to be hard. Just forget about them. I went to shcools like that too. LAUSD.

Lesson 1 in getting along with others: Ignore irrelevant behavior. They see that staring at you bothers you and it entices them to do it more. That's the game.
It's a clash of societies. Asians have, in general been taught to be reserved and quiet and unobtrusive. Hispanics are a very openly arrogant culture in comparison.
It takes time to be accepted in any new school. I would ingnore their stares... But openly and forwardly engage them in coversation. Force yourself on them as a friend. It's going to take some change in thinking on your part.
It's a game of dominance. You can't let them find a weak point in your armor. Once they find a weak point, they will pick at it till they drive you nuts. It may very well be that your weak point is to be stared at and they know this.
Part of making friends with anyone is learning how to speak on their level. It was a hard lesson I had to learn when I was dumped into an inner city school in Corpus Christi, Tx (nearly all Hispanic). Try to get along at all costs. Do outward things to win friendship. You'll have to learn to be an extrovert when it comes to charisma, character and coolness.
Don't give in to peer pressure in order to do bad things though. If someone offers you drugs, say, "No thanks, it's not my thing." If they want you to do something that requires vandalizing or stealing say, "That's not really very cool, is it?"
But don't rat them out. This will turn the whole school against you very quickly. Nobody likes a rat.
Offer to help someone in their studies. Try to form a study group.
Ignore the idiots.
Turn insults into jokes... If they persist, ask them if their comments are cool.
Learn some cool phases in spanish and use them on the Mexican girl next to you in class. She'll either laugh or at least smile... Nothing cuter than an Asian boy trying to say "Hola mi amigo!"
But most of all...
Ignore irrelevant behavior.

It's because you are a girl and they think you are hot! so many hispanic and black men wanna do you.. lol.. cause you're rare hehe..
well, i do think it's new for them to see asians. why not go check or consult your guidance counselor for this? just like ask privately?? i think it would help most. that you know your situation there, or also.. check the students handbook or something.. there might be some lines in that university or highschool or whatever..
for the moment, i recommend you to just be friendly and don't mind if they look at you. kindness always has a good prize. remember that.

I've found that a lot of people don't understand this aspect of hispanic culture. It's really unfortunate, that because of a culture clash, hispanic men get labeled as "pervs". Thats really not the case at all. In hispanic cultures, it is considered a compliment for a hispanic man to stare at a woman as she walks by. Its really nothing sexual, but simply a matter of acknowledging a womans beauty. To be honest, it makes me uncomfortable to be stared at too. But usually I just give them a little smile and go about my business. They really don't mean to offend you or make you uncomfortable at all.

You said you were asian, but you didn't say if you were indian. If you're indian I would say they are staring at you trying to figure out if you are hispanic or indian.
I find myself staring at hispanic that might be indian, etc. Even indian's can't tell if someone is hispanic or indian (when it's close call) ... it isn't always, but many times it is

I wonder what school you were in? I think if someone staring at you, just say "HI" to them or "How are you?" ,perhaps it may start a conversation, If you don't received any response there may something wrong in that school.
