I had an abusive relationship and I know other women who have had boyfriends hit them. I'm just shocked at how common this is. I'm not talking just slapping. I'm talking very severe actions. I've had bruises, a broken finger, a busted nose and I know others who have suffered likewise. What is WRONG with people today?

i know the answer to that some men that hit there women are either ******* or bitches the reason is that some men think that women are mostly controlling the relationship somw women take it to far that some men get so angry that a woman has controll over the realationship and all what some men want is power and control thats why some men do this or they do it cuz its fun thats what i think

There are many reasons that men and lets not forget women as well hitting,beating there partner. For one and fist thing is the lack of RESPECT, also to take into any emotional & mental & substance illness can be a key factor. Anyone who is in a relationship like that should do what ever it takes to LEAVE!!! That is the number ONE thing to do, and I don't care how much you may love him or her YOU are number one and You must protect yourself first...
There are surport out there and there is help for the victum and the abuser "IF" they seak it....To stay in something like that can cause someone to DIE and this is something that is growing bigtime here. Most of all I hate to see is children growing up around it and being part of the abuse!
All I can say is LEAVE to the saftest place!!!!

It's sad to say it but it is very comen. I remember growing up my dad used to bit my mom up really badly. He would send her to the hospital often. My sisters and I would always be afraid of him. We just never new when he was gonna hit her. The day my mom decide it to leave him was one of the best days of my life. I guess seeing all that really hurt my marriage at the beginning. When ever my husband and I would argued I always though he was gonna hit me. So I would start hitting him, he would just hold me back and would see the fear in my eyes. But with time he help me understand not all men are the same. I am very lucky I married a good man and I'm thankful for that... I'm sorry you had to go thru that but the great thing is you got out before it was too late..

There should not be any reason at all. There should be no excuse for that. Do not allow him to abuse you like that. If it happens once- leave him! If it happened a lot of times already why are you allowing him to do tthat to you? Also, women should never provoke a man nor physically/verbally abuse him. If both of you are angry. those so called humans would never hit another man so i call them puss... and they are doing it to women that they know they can do that to. also they have severe emotional problems that will take intense therapy. most are in denial and need some help. they need to be barred away from women just like child molesters. they need to be all put on a island and left there . its really bad and jail doesnt help.

This man is sick. Could have been beaten as a child or his upbringing or culture condone such actions, but no matter. His actions are that of a very deranged person who is guilty of felony assault and battery.
