Why would a person who is bleeding terribly out of his poopster take time to poll the audience on whether or not he should go to the emergency room?

No. You don't need to go to ER. I've had flowing blood from eating too much bread or popcorn and passed them through too big and cut myself that way. Just put wadded up toilet paper and let it dry and it will scab and heal just fine. Sit tight and eat less bread and/or popcorn.

911

This question is more appropriate in the health forum.

Are you a heavy drinker, do you lift weights. Regardless, if you have blood "flowing" from your anus you should call 911. It is only a matter of minutes before you fall into shock.

Seriously.

first off it's your hemorrhoids secondly if it gushing sorry pal your gone, however if it's bleeding pack your behind and get to the ER then in the future use a stool softener to prevent this issue again.

If it is dripping and bright red you probably tore a hemarrhoid, no big problem. If it is dark blood, almost blackish red, that is not a good sign, see a doc tomorrow. If it is flowing and won't stop, go to the e.r. now.

Depends on how bad the bleeding is, and on whether it has stopped by the time you read this. You have probably torn a hemorrhoid vein; usually they heal with no problems.

You could have a condition called diverticulitis, intestinal bleeding. If you go to google you can get info on this condition.
