Okay, so...in the bible it says that man was created first, then woman was created from the rib of a man(or the gist of it). And, men are supposed to be superior beings to women because they were here first and created in the image of God and we were put here to keep them company...therefore women will be opressed in perpituity...

So why then, are all mammals inherently female??? All babies start as females, then there is a hormone shift that creates a male.
Wouldn't this evidence suggest that woman was created first, then men sprung forth from her?
Do you think it's possible, as the bible was written by men...that they switched it around because they didn't want to have a female god? Because they wanted to be the ones that were created in the image of god?
Do you think it's possible that God is really female? Do you think she might be angry at men for changing her sex?

Another question would be:
Do you think that society would be different if people knew that Eve came first? Do you think men can handle it?

Okay, you have allot of questions here soooo.....1)In Genesis 1:27 it states God created Man.This was meant to mean Mankind,as a whole, and does not specify which gender came first.
2) It was a story of the beginning of Judaism, which was why, according to them,Adam was created first. It sets the stage for their devaluation of women as people
3)They did not have the scientific technology that we have today and the whole fairy tale was just that.A fairy tale.
4)Historically speaking,Goddess worship was one of the first forms of religion. There have been Goddess artifacts dated to around 25,000 b.c.e. (and some even earlier!)which is around the time of Cro Magnon Man.
5)Religion has long been used to wrest political power from people and it has been suggested that at 1 point women has the bulk of the political power and the male oriented religions came into being as a means to gain power over women. So what better way to do that than to glorify ones gender?
6)I believe in The Goddess, and her Consort,God.
7)I think the next couple hundred years are going to be mighty interesting.

God is not a male or female he is an omni present and omni potent spirit, however he did rap himeself in the flesh in the form of a male which was Jesus Christ. Men are not superior beings to females. In Genesis chapter 16 it does say that her husband, he shall rule over her. I think a good reflection of this today would be husbands primarily being the head of the household. She is not inferior her rule is only different. The bible was written under the anointing of God and no man is allowed to change it, it says in Revelations 18 and 19.

Interesting interpretation however there is one flaw in this theory.

You stated that all mammals are inherently female which is not true. All mammals when born will have higher levels of female hormones and endorphins after birth but a child is still male in this case. Why shouldn't a child that just came out of mom be awash in her hormones? Makes sense to me but the inherently female statement was just plain wrong.

My opinion is you're barking up the wrong tree here.

My parents had a similar disccussion about this once. My Dad was trying to say how he was Superior to my Mother because God made man first - Adam as we know him. But, Adam begged God for a companion - not an ape, lion, dog, snake, etc. So God then made Woman - Eve as we know her.

My mother explained it to my father that if man is superior to woman because god made them first, then the animals and sludge on the bottom of the rivers and seas are superior to man because God made them before he made man. If you ask her, he saved the best for last - Woman. Sorry men, not trying to hurt your egos.

I like to believe we are all equal - anyone else with me?

Men and women were created equal. Both are still equal but given different roles by God. Men were to work and do the duty's of God women were to serve man in his duty's to God and have the power of motherhood. But equal in body and spirit just not the same responsibility's.

Of course its possible. The Bible has been rewritten and retranslated so many times. It is very unlikely that it is anywhere near to being the way it was intended. Thats why you should never follow the teachings of the church blindly.

No girls without semen. No semen without boys.
Thats why the egg was first, or was it the chicken, sorry i forgot.

Anyhow, it is ok if God is female. So she invented war and FGM. That makes sence.

I think it is a good idea to come down to humanity.
