I only have the Turmeric powder.. and I don't like to cook a lot. lol

Tumeric is used in a lot of Indian or middle-eastern dishes. It gives table mustard its bright yellow color too. By itself, tumeric has a bitter taste. If you are eating it for health benefits, mix a little extra in the mustard for your hot dog I suppose.

A simple curry sauce is tumeric, curry powder (may already contain some tumeric), fresh minced garlic or shallots, chilis or chili powder in a chicken stock, thickened with corn starch (I just add the ingredients to taste).

Brown some chicken, then slice and simmer it in the sauce. Serve it all over Jasmine rice. It is quick, simple, and delicious.

It's always wise to use a pinch of turmeric power, unless you want your food to be liminous yellow. It gives a bad taste and colour if you overdo with turmeric but there is no harm in underdoing it.
Turmeric is said to have antiseptic qualities too. And one more thing, remeber to put turmeric power before you put the curry/dish on fire if not it will not give the real flavour , taste and colour.

When you put turmeric in ric, rice will become yellow colour and add a bit of butter and it will enhance the taste.

I use it to retain green color when I pickle jalapenos, but i can't say that there is much of a flavor difference.

Tumeric is basically used for color not flavour. Approach your dishes in that way.
